Complaint: [redacted] I completely desagree with most that's been saidI understand that SOME delays happened due to manufacturer renovation and is out of [redacted] control, but the rest of his excuses are not substantiatedThe 60% of downpayment was a typo on the part of Revdex.com staff and has been since corrected to show 50% which is right and trueHere is a time line :1)We signed a contract on 07/22/I gave him $1,down (10%).He said he can finish my roof by the end of SeptemberIt is now October 11, and I haven’t seen even materialsHe said he would wait days (grace period) after contract is signed and then order my roofBUT:2)He sent “change of order” only on 08/10/for me to sign on a color choiceTHEN3)08/21/he said that the factory is under major renovation and backed up on orders 8-weeksBut if I give him money for materials another 40%, then he can get this roof for me in 8-daysIt sounded plausible and I cut him a check for $4,on 08/24/At this point I gave him $5,all togetherThe roof was NEVER DELIVERED!4)When I contacted him on 09/12/, he said the caps were not manufactured yet, but the roof is in his storage in Kansas City and I should relax.5)In several emails since then I asked for dates of the roof being delivered and job starting, but I constantly get run around and excuses [redacted] tells me I should be grateful for a roof he got for me, but I don’t see materials nor any prep workI don’t see any proof of any progress on my roof project.Last text he sent stated that “the crew that committed to your project has decided not to go forward with your install, so the next crew is around two weeks out”.I feel like I'm being taken advantage of, I don’t see this going anywhereNow [redacted] presses to meet with me in personAnd I refused because I prefer all the communication being done over emails so I am protectedHe says he has some new information regarding my project, but he REFUSES TO DISCUSS THOSE OVER THE EMAILAnd I have all the proof of thatI refused to meet with him with the advice of the staff of attorney generalI have gone above and beyond what was expected of meI have not breached contract in any wayI have given [redacted] plenty of time and $5,of my hard earned money and I don't even have the materialsI have nothing! First, The Best Metal Roof Period LLC has conducted no business with [redacted] ***This company is registered with the State of Missouri as a Sales and Marketing organizationIt does not and never has contracted for the installed of any construction projectsIncluding Mr***'s project [redacted] J [redacted] and The Best Metal Roof Period LLC are two completely separate business entitiesPlease remove this complaint from The Best Metal Roof Period LLC's fileThe complaint referenced above by [redacted] is nothing more than a delusional rant perpetrated by a man that I truly believe is suffering from some sort of mental diseaseI suspect Dementia, Alzheimer's or some other form of SenilityOnce I break down the truth about my experience in working for Mr [redacted] I am sure you will see my pointNext, Mr [redacted] decided to-take General Contractor(GC moving forward)While at the same time continuing to do his jobNow if this were a project where one project had gotten done then and another was started at some point after that it possibly would have worked out fineBut, Mr [redacted] choose to stack projects on top of each other with little and sometimes no effective communication or coordination with meand/or sometimes the other trades working on this homeThis project, Without Question, should have been handled by a Real GCOnly a delusional individual would think for a second they could take on such responsibilities effectivelyWhat makes it even worse is that Mr [redacted] is a man who has far more financial means than is needed to have hired a Real GC to handle this projectOn top of all this, he has a brother and a neighbor that are GC's who I am certain would have been more than happy to handle this project for him and both I am sure would have done far better job than he didBut Mr [redacted] was either just too cheap or just plain delusional to do the right thing and hire a Real GC for this project Next, the notion that [redacted] J [redacted] does not have the ability to get this or any project complete is absolutely RIDICULOUS!!! The only way this idea holds any water at all is if you factor in having to deal with Delusional people like Mr***When you factor in all ways Mr [redacted] completely failed as a GC and all the ways he failed his responsibility per our work Agreement, there a NO contractors who could have or would have gotten any thing done for Mr*** Once I refused to continue installing on his project unless he compensated me for the work I've done to that point, Mr [redacted] chose to find someone else to come complete the projectSadly enough what Mr*** ended up finding was a installer who does not even know how to read an installation manualThis installer points out details that he claims are incorrect that had not even begun yet, that had not been completed yet, that are clearly shown in Drexal's online Cad list and that are widely excepted installation details utilized on a daily basis throughout the metal roof tradeHe also points out details that are not in any way a requirement contractually or other wise. The project was in process by an installer with a FULL years of metal roof installation experience, ME! I have utilized all the installation specifications used on Mr***'s project for over yearsWith 100% Success! Mr [redacted] and his C Team installer are floating the idea that there is some requirement on my part install Mr***'s roof per Drexal's or their personal installation specificationsThis Idea is Monumentally Untrue! To make the statement that any of these details would not be water tight shows just an Extreme lack of metal roof installation knowledge! Drexal Metals in no way shape of form places any requirement on any installer with significant experience to install any roof in any way All installers with my level of experience have developed there own details over the course of their careersI am completely free to install any metal roof I chose any way I pleaseWhy? Because I am the one that is guaranteeing these details to be water tightAnd I have, I do and they are! Manufactures installation specsare for new and inexperienced installers and are purposefully loaded with more accessories than are needed to get a metal roof project completed appropriately and successfullyMy past success speaks for it's selfAs I stated previously, I have utilized all the installation specifications pointed out by Mr [redacted] and his backup for over yearsAll of these installations have 20-year Non-Prorated Fully Transferable Workmanship WarrantiesI have ZERO customer installation complaints about any metal roof I have completed for the last years If Mr [redacted] had his head screwed on right he would have gotten his roof completed by a FAR more experienced installer much quicker than it ended up getting installedand clearly with less headaches! Mr***'s C Team installer's inability to understand and comprehend more advanced and streamlined installation processes is, Not My Problem! And his making claims that any of my details are "Not Water Tight" is nothing than more than uneducated self serving Libel! It also sounds to me like this less experienced installer is telling Mr [redacted] what he wants him to hear so he can make more money on the project And MrYoung's C Team installer's assessment of what percentage of work had been completed when he arrived was clearly based on his lack of metal roof installation experience and his desire to extract the maximum amount of money he could from Mr*** from the point he was brought inClever trick! He seems to have fooled Mr [redacted] completelyI suspect it was not all that difficult given the circumstances and Mr***'s obvious mental issuesThe truth is the project was at least 90% complete when stopped working for Mr***He had only paid 80% of the contract amountSo he owes at least 10% of the Agreement amount to [redacted] J***The following are the many ways Mr [redacted] failed miserably at performing his duties as a GC, Breached the terms of our Agreement repeatedly and caused 90% of the delays in his project1) Failed to effectively coordinate the different trades that would be clearly be forced at some point work around each other2) Failed to provide consistent electrical service at this job site3) Failed to provide ANY water supply for the duration of the project4) Never asked, remarked or even mentioned any thing about any installation detail until after he "Dismissed" me from working on his project5) Failed to do any thing about the improperly installed gutters that were not draining correctlyI was forced to reset four sections of gutter before I could begin installing the roof panel drip edgeOVER HANGING DRIP EDGE! Widely considered by the majority of the standing seam world as the BEST way to treat the eave detail of ANY standing seam roof! INCLUDING DREXAL METALS! They even show it as a High Side detail option as well a Rake Detail AND Mr [redacted] refused to discuss compensating me for this extra work as well! ANOTHER Breach Of Contract! 6) Failed to in any way address the issue of the fascia installers cutting open the underlayment I installed on the low pitch areas of the projectI told him they were leak areas and nothing ever got done about itHe clearly just did not care! 7) Approved a major change to the original plans that I had bide off ofAdding linear feet of valley work to the projectAsk any standing seam installer and they will tell you, Valley Work is the most time consuming and most expensive thing we do in this tradeMr [redacted] refused to discuss additional compensation for this additional material and laborAnother Breach Of Contract! 8) Refused to provide not one but two Labor Compensation RequestsThe Agreement we signed for this project CLEARLY gives me the right to collect material or labor payments at " [redacted] ***'s Discretion"Failure to provide a request made by me is without question a Breach Of ContractHe stated that he could not see any additional materials that had been installed since is last paymentAnd told him we had been performing massive amounts of detail work to the already installed panels and that was a all part of the processHe stated he he had no idea what I was talking about and said he would not pay me and walked awaythis alone caused a 3-day project delay as we were forced to focus more on other projects to secure the necessary funds to keep food on the tableIt seems Senile Rich guys like Mr [redacted] can't be bothered about such trivial things as taking food out of the mouths of the less fortunateAnd to be honest, Mr*** questioned, disagreed with and fought giving every single payment he did give outIt was like pulling teeth with him! 9) The Agreement Mr [redacted] signed clearly states that it does not cover material prices increases and they will become an additional chargeThere was a material price increase and Mr [redacted] refused to pay the increaseThis is in fact a Breach Of Contract! I should have walked away from his project right thenBut I told him if that was the way he wanted it that I would forced to look to other manufacturers to keep the material costs in lineMr [redacted] was also made aware that switching to another manufacturer would most likely cause a delay in the projectSwitching manufacturers caused a week delay in getting the majority of materials for this project In two separate conversations with Mr [redacted] he freely admitted this was a huge mistake on his partAnd fully agree! In total Mr [redacted] caused at least a month delay in his own projectBut in doing so dragged the project into a tremendous about of bad Winter weather which caused many more delaysAll of which he seemingly does not want to accept responsibility forI also concede that Mr [redacted] may very well not be able to fully comprehend the magnitude of all the choices he made on this project10) Mr [redacted] decided to have major landscape work done before the project could be completedThe issues this caused were two fold1) MUD! It suddenly became much more difficult to keep your shoes clean before getting onto the roofWhich is extremely important in standing seam workAnd an unsafe scenario as well2) DUST! As soon as the mud would dry, winds and static charge would put dust all over the metal roof making it more slippery and less safe to work onMr [redacted] never though to discuss with me how this or any other work being done at the job site might effect my efforts thereBoth of these conditions further slowed down work effortsOn top of this we would put down walk boards to keep our feet as clean as possibleBut Mr [redacted] would have then taken up when we left the project and we be forced to go find them and replace themJust plain Stupid!! At one point Mr [redacted] came to me and stating that he believed I was fabricating things for another project of mine at his projectI told him this was absolutely not true and what was it that made him think thatMr [redacted] simply said nothing turned around walked away from meAt this point I was 100% certain he man was having mental issues of some kindIt is also note worthy to point out that Mr [redacted] failed to return multiple telephone callstexts and emailsAnd when I would attempt to discuss any of these issues face to face with him he would at times change the subject subject and at times would just make an off the point remark and walk awayI eventually came to the conclusion that trying to talk to him about any thing was just a waste of my time So as you can clearly see by what I have been forced to deal with in doing business with Mr***, he clearly has some sort of mental issueHe agrees to contractual terms then willfully disregards them any time he wishesHe causes extensive delays in his own project and tries to pin it all on meHe takes on Duties that are far beyond his personal skill set when he could have very easily hired an experienced Pro to handle these dutiesI have to say this is an issue I have seen before with wealthy peopleNot allbut a small percentage like Mr [redacted] believe that they can simply do as they please especially when they are dealing with far less fortunate people Believe it or not there is even more into I could put down here to address this issueBut I think what I have said thus far addresses the issues enough for now Revdex.com thank you for your assistance on the matterSincerely, [redacted] J***

Again,Mrs [redacted] has either not read OR does not understand the terms that are clearly spelled out in our Agreement to provided service to herThe Agreement clearly spells out start and completion terms of serviceAll the dates and time frames she is pointing out are simply my verbal responses to questions she has asked meThis in no way shape or form changes the terms of our AgreementShe signed the Agreement and agreed to those terms on her own free willNow when things are not happening on a time frame I never agreed to work on she believes she can file a Revdex.com complaint and call the Attorney General and get her wayThat is not how it works Mrs***.Asking Mrs [redacted] to meet with me to discuss some issues with her project is my right and it what I requested her to do on several occasionsHer choosing not to is what has caused much delay in the delivery of her materials and the start of her job If she were so concerned about getting materials delivered and getting her job done she could have just as easily met with me and resolved the critical issues with regard to her projectBut she refused to many times and has caused major delays in her own projectShe has no one to blame for her unhappiness but her self!Mrs [redacted] chose not to pick a color at the time she signed up with meSo when she finally did chose a color I had no choice but to have her sign a Change Order which spells out her color of choiceThe color she chose was a Special Order colorNot a Standard Color choiceGetting a Special Order color produced with the factory issues that have been going on for several months was extremely difficultAnd Mrs [redacted] showed no zero tolerance with this issue and has sent out several emails and texts blaming me for things taking so long when it was all beyond my controlThe factory tells me she has never called them to verify all that is going onSo she is clearly trying to hold me responsible for delays that are beyond my controlThis at least ONE of issue that needed to be discussed in personI did not Agree to do business with COMPUTERI agreed to do business with a LIVE PERSON! All this impersonal email and text communication is at least partially to blame for Mrs***'s Unreasonableness and her inability to comprehend the terms of out Agreement. She is an EXTREMELY UNREASONABLE INDIVIDUAL!!

When I hired him, he said there was only one customer in front of me and that she has a custom colored roof so I may go before herHe said worst case scenario he would do my roof before September endsAt first I only paid 10%, but after a while he called me and said he found roofing materials
quickly if I gave him another 40% and he would be able to finish it more quickly and the materials would be in within daysI agreed and this was on August 24,

To: Revdex.comFrom: *** J.***Re: Complaint ##***Mr***'s latest response is simply more evidence that he is either loosing or lose his mind in some wayOr he is just another rich tight wade that believes the world revolves around him.I will in this response clearly show how his complaint about installation issues as well as many of his ridiculous points are nothing self serving lies and/or the rantings of a Senile old man.In his latest response he states:1) "Stands by his original complaint"Mistake #1! When I have finished this response the Mistake will be completely clear.2) That his metal roof project was "Simple"FAR from the truth! There are literallyno honest and experienced metal roof installers that would classify this project as Simple. And given the working environment created by Mr***, Monumentally Difficult!3) Mr.*** states that he contacted me though my website. My website was never a topic of discussion between me and Mr***That being said, I work from the assumption that all my customers will at least read the content of my websiteMy website is a "Website" nothing moreIt very clearly states that all contracting will be handled by *** J***The Agreement between Mr*** and myself clearly states "*** J*** DBA *** J***I have searched all my records and can find no Estimate Request from my website from Mr***In reviewing Mr***'s file he is classified as a "Call In"Which means he called my office to contact meAgain, he is either Lying or having issues with his mind.In addition, he states that my website is "Best Metal Roof, period" No it is not! The name of my website is The Best Metal Roof Period.comThe heading on all my Agreements is as follows: *** J*** "Best Metal Roof Period"It did not say "The Best Metal Roof Period LLC""Best Metal Roof Period" is simply a Slogan I have utilized for more than years now.I would not create an LLC then conduct business with that entity without clearly putting LLC on all my AgreementsMr*** is sounding more and more like a confused old man!4) Mr*** assertion that I directed him to my website for references is a completely as wellI clearly state in my website what my definition of "References" areAnd those references are not listed on my websiteThey are given out upon request to people who take a free estimate from me and ask for referencesI then email them a listOr I hand them a copy of my references list from my briefcase. To sum up Mr***'s latest response, the man clearly has very little grasp on the real events that occurred during the course of our business dealingsThis is a recurring theme from his original complaint. As I stated previously, I firmly believe the man is suffering from some sort of mental disease. It is a true Injustice that because of this mans mental issues, my family, my work force and myself have to suffer! To add more proof to the mental issues that Mr.*** has clearly demonstrated with this Revdex.com complaint, I want to bring your attention to an installation issue he pointed outNow all the installation issues he asserted were fully without merit, but one of them emphatically shows the diabolical nature of the entire complaint. His complaint about the panels not being laid to avoid a seam landing on a pipeFor me this is a very minor issueSince I have installed 100's of these pipes boots it worries me very little if at allBut the specific pipe Mr*** shows in his complaint was in a roof field with two other pipesOnly a metal roof amateur would even waste a second thinking about centering any pipe in a field with three pipesThe statistical possibility of being able to make this a reality makes even thinking about it a waste of timePipes landing on a seam are inevitableIn this case it was unavoidableThis complaint just shows pure stupidity and intent! It also shows the deplorable Mentality I had to endure while working with Mr*** and how this Mentality just seems to have no boundaries!!In conclusion, I believe I have clearly shown how Mr*** has either some form of aging mental disease or he clearly had an egregious intent from the very beginning.I also believe he may very well be using this Revdex.com format to stave off a Lien and/or Lawsuit that I am sure the attorney he consulted told him he has left himself wide open for. Mr*** will be receiving a Notice of Intent to Lien VERY SOON! Sincerely, *** J***

To whom it may concern,Mrs***s complaint is solely based on delays in her project that have occurred in part in her own mind and through occurrences beyond my control that she is attempting to hold me responsible forThe Agreement we signed clearly addresses Delays Beyond My Control, Start and Completion Datesand Payment ExpectationsAll of which I have fully complied withShe has made several statements in regard to dates and times that are not accurateHer 60% payment statement is not true eitherHer statement about customers on my schedule ahead of her is not accurate as well. The main issue with Mrs*** is that the manufacture we have on our Agreement is having a multitude of issues at the momentClearly beyond my controlBut she insists on holding me responsible for this issue when clearly I have no control over itOur Agreement clearly states I am not responsible for Delays Beyond My ControlShe either is choosing to Breach the terms of our written Agreement with her conduct or she simply does not understand what is clearly stated on the Agreement. I believe the best way to resolve this issue is for someone to Educate her on what the written terminology stated on her Agreement actually meansHopefully once this has occurred we can move forward appropriately. Mrs***s expectation of a Refund is unreasonable and without merit

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:I fully stand by my complaintI was under the impression that I had hired a competent company to do a simple metal roofI contacted *** *** through his website "Best Metal Roofs, period"During our preliminary discussion, *** *** referred me to that same website for referencesFor him to say now that that entity was not involved is incredulous.! It it very clear by *** ***'s response to my issues, that he and and his company do not represent their services honestly and are not capable of providing the service he and it promoteI believe consumers should be warned of what they can expect by contracting with either *** *** or his company "Best Metal Roofs, period".
Sincerely,
*** ***

My inspection of *** ***'s installation of Drexel DMC 175S standing seam roof for *** *** occurred on Monday, February 26, 2019.At the time of inspection, approximately 60% of the roof had been completedAlthough 80% of the roof was covered by metal panels, 90% of the labor and time
intensive finish work had not been startedIt would require an additional labor hours to complete this roof at the point ***'s work stopped. The work that was completed on this roof was a disaster and would have leaked in several locations. I could not find one single thing that was installed correctly according to manufacture specificationsHere are just a few examplesI have included photos and Drexel factory specifications for reference. The new roof was installed directly over the existing shingled roofShingles are not an approved substrate and this immediately voids any warranty provided by the manufacturerSee document 1The method of ridge cap installation would have immediately leaked, not allowed for adequate attic ventilation, and could have caused the entire roof to slide off due to the lack of approved fastenersThis is the only area of the entire panel that actually gets screwed down to the roof decking. The Z bar enclosures that are required between each section to seal out water and hold panels to the roof were not usedThe proper vented ridge was not used eitherThere was a second technique that was used on just part of the ridge on the middle section of houseApparently as he went along he even changed his methods , maybe after realizing how bad his first method was going to leak? See pics 1A - 1IThe ends of the panels at the eaves are lacking a flashing cleat to bend panels around and prevent wind blown rain from from entering under the panelsThey were just bent around drip edge at eaves instead of the water tight flashing cleatSee pic 2A - 2CAt all the roof transitions, where the pitch changes to a lower slope on same section of roof, there were no flashing cleats or z bar closures installed to prevent water intrusionSee pic 3A - 3CHigh temperature ice and water shield was not used in vulnerable areasPaper felt was used in these areas and will not hold up to the high temperatures created by the metal panels and will degrade prematurelySee pic 8A - 8BYou should never have a pipe vent protruding through a seam on the metal panels, this will leakAll protrusions should penetrate only through the flat open sections of panels to allow for proper water tight boot to be installedSee pic 5Chimney was improperly flashed and would have leakedSee pics 9A - 9C , 4These are just a few areas that violated Drexel's installation specificationsWe were able to address and fix some of these issues but unfortunately without removing entire roof and starting over, some of these areas were not able to be removed and repaired to specIn my professional opinion, the areas that were not removed and reinstalled will lead to leaks and interior damages in the futureThis should absolutely be considered in the price that *** has already received

Complaint: [redacted]I completely desagree with most that's been said. I understand that SOME delays happened due to manufacturer renovation and is out of [redacted] control, but the rest of his excuses are not substantiated. The 60% of downpayment was a typo on the part of Revdex.com staff and has been since corrected to show 50% which is right and true. Here is a time line :1)We signed a contract on 07/22/2016. I gave him $1,150 down (10%).He said he can finish my roof by the end of September. It is now October 11, and I haven’t seen even materials. He said he would wait 3 days (grace period) after contract is signed and then order my roof. BUT:2)He sent “change of order” only on 08/10/2016 for me to sign on a color choice. THEN3)08/21/2016 he said that the factory is under major renovation and backed up on orders 8-10 weeks. But if I give him money for materials another 40%, then he can get this roof for me in 8-10 days. It sounded plausible and I cut him a check for $4,600 on 08/24/2016. At this point I gave him $5,750 all together. The roof was NEVER DELIVERED!4)When I contacted him on 09/12/2016 , he said the caps were not manufactured yet, but the roof is in his storage in Kansas City and I should relax.5)In several emails since then I asked for dates of the roof being delivered and job starting, but I constantly get run around and excuses. [redacted] tells me I should be grateful for a roof he got for me, but I don’t see materials nor any prep work. I don’t see any proof of any progress on my roof project.Last text he sent stated that “the crew that committed to your project has decided not to go forward with your install, so the next crew is around two weeks out”.I feel like I'm being taken advantage of, I don’t see this going anywhere. Now [redacted] presses to meet with me in person. And I refused because I prefer all the communication being done over emails so I am protected. He says he has some new information regarding my project, but he REFUSES TO DISCUSS THOSE OVER THE EMAIL. And I have all the proof of that. I refused to meet with him with the advice of the staff of attorney general. I have gone above and beyond what was expected of me. I have not breached contract in any way. I have given [redacted] plenty of time and $5,750 of my hard earned money and I don't even have the materials. I have nothing! His excuses are excessive, he says hes about to deliver my roof, but it just never happens. Then his crew walks out on him and there is no estimate when the project even begins! Something is always on his way to deliver. Its always someone else's fault. I don't trust him doing my roof. So I think my expectations of breaking the contract and getting a full refund are legitimate.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Again,Mrs. [redacted] has either not read OR does not understand the terms that are clearly spelled out in our Agreement to provided service to her. The Agreement clearly spells out start and completion terms of service. All the dates and time frames she is pointing out are simply my verbal responses to questions she has asked me. This in no way shape or form changes the terms of our Agreement. She signed the Agreement and agreed to those terms on her own free will. Now when things are not happening on a time frame I never agreed to work on she believes she can file a Revdex.com complaint and call the Attorney General and get her way. That is not how it works Mrs. [redacted].Asking Mrs. [redacted] to meet with me to discuss some issues with her project is my right and it what I requested her to do on several occasions. Her choosing not to is what has caused much delay in the delivery of her materials and the start of her job.  If she were so concerned about getting materials delivered and getting her job done she could have just as easily met with me and resolved the critical issues with regard to her project. But she refused to many times and has caused major delays in her own project. She has no one to blame for her unhappiness but her self!Mrs. [redacted] chose not to pick a color at the time she signed up with me. So when she finally did chose a color I had no choice but to have her sign a Change Order which spells out her color of choice. The color she chose was a Special Order color. Not a Standard Color choice. Getting a Special Order color produced with the factory issues that have been going on for several months was extremely difficult. And Mrs. [redacted] showed no zero tolerance with this issue and has sent out several emails and texts blaming me for things taking so long when it was all beyond my control. The factory tells me she has never called them to verify all that is going on. So she is clearly trying to hold me responsible for delays that are beyond my control. This at least ONE of issue that needed to be discussed in person. I did not Agree to do business with COMPUTER. I agreed to do business with a LIVE PERSON! All this impersonal email and text communication is at least partially to blame for Mrs. [redacted]'s Unreasonableness and her inability to comprehend the terms of out Agreement. She is an EXTREMELY UNREASONABLE INDIVIDUAL!!

First, The Best Metal Roof Period LLC has conducted no business with [redacted]. This company is registered with the State of Missouri as a Sales and Marketing organization. It does not and never has contracted for the installed of any construction projects. Including Mr. [redacted]'s project. [redacted] J. [redacted] and The Best Metal Roof Period LLC are two completely separate business entities. Please remove this complaint from The Best Metal Roof Period LLC's file. The complaint referenced above by [redacted] is nothing more than a delusional rant perpetrated by a man that I truly believe is suffering from some sort of mental disease. I suspect Dementia, Alzheimer's or some other form of Senility. Once I break down the truth about my experience in working for Mr. [redacted] I am sure you will see my point. Next, Mr. [redacted] decided to-take General Contractor(GC moving forward). While at the same time continuing to do his normal job. Now if this were a project where one project had gotten done then and another was started at some point after that it possibly would have worked out fine. But, Mr. [redacted] choose to stack projects on top of each other with little and sometimes no effective communication or coordination with me. and/or sometimes the other trades working on this home. This project, Without Question, should have been handled by a Real GC. Only a delusional individual would think for a second they could take on such responsibilities effectively. What makes it even worse is that Mr. [redacted] is a man who has far more financial means than is needed to have hired a Real GC to handle this project. On top of all this, he has a brother and a neighbor that are GC's who I am certain would have been more than happy to handle this project for him and both I am sure would have done far better job than he did. But Mr. [redacted] was either just too cheap or just plain delusional to do the right thing and hire a Real GC for this project.  Next, the notion that [redacted] J. [redacted] does not have the ability to get this or any project complete is absolutely RIDICULOUS!!! The only way this idea holds any water at all is if you factor in having to deal with Delusional people like Mr. [redacted]. When you factor in all ways Mr. [redacted] completely failed as a GC and all the ways he failed his responsibility per our work Agreement, there a NO contractors who could have or would have gotten any thing done for Mr. [redacted].  Once I refused to continue installing on his project unless he compensated me for the work I've done to that point, Mr. [redacted] chose to find someone else to come complete the project. Sadly enough what Mr. [redacted] ended up finding was a installer who does not even know how to read an installation manual. This installer points out details that he claims are incorrect that had not even begun yet, that had not been completed yet, that are clearly shown in Drexal's online Cad list and that are widely excepted installation details utilized on a daily basis throughout the metal roof trade. He also points out details that are not in any way a requirement contractually or other wise. The project was in process by an installer with a FULL 27 years of metal roof installation experience, ME! I have utilized all the installation specifications used on Mr. [redacted]'s project for over 20 years. With 100% Success! Mr. [redacted] and his C Team installer are floating the idea that there is some requirement on my part install Mr. [redacted]'s roof per Drexal's or their personal installation specifications. This Idea is Monumentally Untrue! To make the statement that any of these details would not be water tight shows just an Extreme lack of metal roof installation knowledge! Drexal Metals in no way shape of form places any requirement on any installer with significant experience to install any roof in any way.  All installers with my level of experience have developed there own details over the course of their careers. I am completely free to install any metal roof I chose any way I please. Why? Because I am the one that is guaranteeing these details to be water tight. And I have, I do and they are! Manufactures installation specs. are for new and inexperienced installers and are purposefully loaded with more accessories than are needed to get a metal roof project completed appropriately and successfully. My past success speaks for it's self. As I stated previously, I have utilized all the installation specifications pointed out by Mr. [redacted] and his backup for over 20 years. All of these installations have 20-25 year Non-Prorated Fully Transferable Workmanship Warranties. I have ZERO customer  installation complaints about any metal roof I have completed for the last 27 years.  If Mr. [redacted] had his head screwed on right he would have gotten his roof completed by a FAR more experienced installer much quicker than it ended up getting installed. and clearly with less headaches!  Mr. [redacted]'s C Team installer's inability to understand and comprehend more advanced and streamlined installation processes is, Not My Problem! And his making claims that any of my details are "Not Water Tight" is nothing than more than uneducated self serving Libel! It also sounds to me like this less experienced installer is telling Mr. [redacted] what he wants him to hear so he can make more money on the project.  And Mr. Young's C Team installer's assessment of what percentage of work had been completed when he arrived was clearly based on his lack of metal roof installation experience and his desire to extract the maximum amount of money he could from Mr. [redacted] from the point he was brought in. Clever trick! He seems to have fooled Mr. [redacted] completely. I suspect it was not all that difficult given the circumstances and Mr. [redacted]'s obvious mental issues. The truth is the project was at least 90% complete when stopped working for Mr. [redacted]. He had only paid 80% of the contract amount. So he owes at least 10% of the Agreement amount to [redacted] J. [redacted]. The following are the many ways Mr. [redacted] failed miserably at performing his duties as a GC, Breached the terms of our Agreement repeatedly and caused 90% of the delays in his project. 1) Failed to effectively coordinate the different trades that would be clearly be forced at some point work around each other. 2) Failed to provide consistent electrical service at this job site. 3) Failed to provide ANY water supply for the duration of the project. 4) Never asked, remarked or even mentioned any thing about any installation detail until after he "Dismissed" me from working on his project. 5) Failed to do any thing about the improperly installed gutters that were not draining correctly. I was forced to reset four sections of gutter before I could begin installing the roof panel drip edge. OVER HANGING DRIP EDGE! Widely considered by the majority of the standing seam world as the BEST way to treat the eave detail of ANY standing seam roof! INCLUDING DREXAL METALS!  They even show it as a High Side detail option as well a Rake Detail.  AND Mr. [redacted] refused to discuss compensating me for this extra work as well! ANOTHER Breach Of Contract! 6) Failed to in any way address the issue of the fascia installers cutting open the underlayment I installed on the low pitch areas of the project. I told him they were leak areas and nothing ever got done about it. He clearly just did not care! 7) Approved a major change to the original plans that I had bide off of. Adding 20 linear feet of valley work to the project. Ask any standing seam installer and they will tell you, Valley Work is the most time consuming and most expensive thing we do in this trade. Mr. [redacted] refused to discuss additional compensation for this additional material and labor. Another Breach Of Contract! 8) Refused to provide not one but two Labor Compensation Requests. The Agreement we signed for this project CLEARLY gives me the right to collect material or labor payments at "[redacted]'s Discretion". Failure to provide a request made by me is without question a Breach Of Contract. He stated that he could not see any additional materials that had been installed since is last payment. And told him we had been performing massive amounts of detail work to the already installed panels and that was a all part of the process. He stated he he had no idea what I was talking about and said he would not pay me and walked away. this alone caused a 3-4 day project delay as we were forced to focus more on other projects to secure the necessary funds to keep food on the table. It seems Senile Rich guys like Mr. [redacted] can't be bothered about such trivial things as taking food out of the mouths of the less fortunate. And to be honest, Mr. [redacted] questioned, disagreed with and fought giving every single payment he did give out. It was like pulling teeth with him! 9) The Agreement Mr. [redacted] signed clearly states that it does not cover material prices increases and they will become an additional charge. There was a material price increase and Mr. [redacted] refused to pay the increase. This is in fact a Breach Of Contract! I should have walked away from his project right then. But I told him if that was the way he wanted it that I would forced to look to other manufacturers to keep the material costs in line. Mr. [redacted] was also made aware that switching to another manufacturer would most likely cause a delay in the project. Switching manufacturers caused a 6 week delay in getting the majority of materials for this project.  In two separate conversations with Mr. [redacted] he freely admitted this was a huge mistake on his part. And fully agree!  In total Mr. [redacted] caused at least a 3 month delay in his own project. But in doing so dragged the project into a tremendous about of bad Winter weather which caused many more delays. All of which he seemingly does not want to accept responsibility for. I also concede that Mr. [redacted] may very well not be able to fully comprehend the magnitude of all the choices he made on this project. 10) Mr [redacted] decided to have major landscape work done before the project could be completed. The issues this caused were two fold. 1) MUD! It suddenly became much more difficult to keep your shoes clean before getting onto the roof. Which is extremely important in standing seam work. And an unsafe scenario as well. 2) DUST! As soon as the mud would dry, winds and static charge would put dust all over the metal roof making it more slippery and less safe to work on. Mr. [redacted] never though to discuss with me how this or any other work being done at the job site might effect my efforts there. Both of these conditions further slowed down work efforts. On top of this we would put down walk boards to keep our feet as clean as possible. But Mr. [redacted] would have then taken up when we left the project and we be forced to go find them and replace them. Just plain Stupid!! At one point Mr. [redacted] came to me and stating that he believed I was fabricating things for another project of mine at his project. I told him this was absolutely not true and what was it that made him think that. Mr. [redacted] simply said nothing turned around walked away from me. At this point I was 100% certain he man was having mental issues of some kind. It is also note worthy to point out that Mr. [redacted] failed to return multiple telephone calls. texts and emails. And when I would attempt to discuss any of these issues face to face with him he would at times change the subject subject and at times would just make an off the point remark and walk away. I eventually came to the conclusion that trying to talk to him about any thing was just a waste of my time.  So as you can clearly see by what I have been forced to deal with in doing business with Mr. [redacted], he clearly has some sort of mental issue. He agrees to contractual terms then willfully disregards them any time he wishes. He causes extensive delays in his own project and tries to pin it all on me. He takes on Duties that are far beyond his personal skill set when he could have very easily hired an experienced Pro to handle these duties. I have to say this is an issue I have seen before with wealthy people. Not all. but a small percentage like Mr. [redacted] believe that they can simply do as they please especially when they are dealing with far less fortunate people.  Believe it or not there is even more into I could put down here to address this issue. But I think what I have said thus far addresses the issues enough for now.  Revdex.com thank you for your assistance on the matter. Sincerely, [redacted] J. [redacted]
