The Big Day Planner Reviews (1)

Review: It really pains me to have to write a negative review and to have to leave a complaint with the Revdex.com but I really feel I have no choice. [redacted], The Big Day

Planner coordinated my wedding to my husband [redacted] on September 5, 2015 and by did she let the ball drop! The bride and groom of this wedding are [redacted] and [redacted]. As the matron of honor and the cousin of the bride, I am the California liason for this wedding since the bride and groom live in Tokyo.

We signed a contract on August 11, 2014, and gave [redacted] a $500 deposit. Interestingly enough, we never actually got a copy of the contract with [redacted]'s signature. We only have the copies with [redacted] and [redacted]'s signatures.

I also paid for [redacted]'s wedding planning insurance at her request because the venue [redacted] said she needed it to work for them.

Not only did [redacted] not book a single vendor for my cousin's wedding from the time she was hired August 11, 2014 until we terminated her January 20, 2015, she also didn't respond to emails and phone calls or texts for updates.

AGAIN, [redacted] FAILED TO BOOK A SINGLE VENDOR FOR THIS WEDDING IN 5 MONTHS AND REFUSED TO COMMUNICATE PROPERLY!! SHE NEVER EVEN VISITED THE VENUE!!

I couldn't even get her to meet up when I said I had a check for her because she wouldn't call me back! Then after we confronted her and terminated her services, she refused to return the deposit and the wedding planner insurance money.

She simply said she had a no refund policy. But the thing is she entered into a contract with us to perform wedding planning services in bad faith.

She's dishonest, didn't do the work she was paid for, didn't communicate properly, and she's a thief for keeping money that didn't belong to her!

She has no right to keep that money when she didn't do anything for this wedding!

Things [redacted] did wrong:

1. Not book a single vendor for my cousin's wedding scheduled for June 21,2015.

2. Refused to respond to emails or calls or texts for updates.

3. Breached her contract and did not act in good faith.

4. Refused to return the $500 deposit and the wedding planning insurance $282 when terminated even though she didn't do a single thing for this wedding.

5. Lost my wedding album that was worth approximately $500 dollars. This was loaned to her just so she could see how pictures from our wedding that she had coordinated previously turned out.

6. Used me and my husband's wedding photos WITHOUT OUR WRITTEN PERMISSION (as necessary according to our agreement with our photographer) on her business cars and on promotional keychains.

This is copyright violation. There is no question about it. I can't believe she had the never to do this.

7. Ignored the majority of our lawyer's letters and our demands, aimed at resolving this amicable. She responded to one letter and ADMITTED that she had been using our wedding picture and should cease but then just said she needed to "do research" about returning the deposit and the other money. She then ignored all of my lawyer's subsequent communications. I still haven't gotten my money back.

I would like everyone in the world to know that they should not be hiring [redacted], The Big Day Planner for any wedding or event.

It would be the worst mistake of your life to hire [redacted] and I have no reservations whatsoever about saying that.

I am not worried about posting this online because everything I've written here is the truth and I stand by it. We are considering suing her for breach of contract, defamation, and copyright violation but it would cost us a lot money to do so.Desired Settlement: I would like the Revdex.com to investigate this and to give the Big Day Planner an F rating if she does not return my money. That's $500 deposit, $282 for wedding planning insurance, and $500 for my lost wedding album or $1282 total. In addition, I need [redacted] to promise in writing to cease using our wedding photos on marketing items such as business cars and keychains for her business, to promise in writing not tuse any of our wedding photos or family photos without permission in the future, and to promise in writing not to defame our family.

[redacted], The Big Day Planner really deserves to get an F rating from the Revdex.com and to have her business license revoked.
