The Booknack has gone out of business. I had over $100 worth of credit at this business. I was not offered an opportunity to redeem the credit.
The Booknack had purchased some used books I had and given me store credit. I have a receipt dated 7/1/18 showing a $206.74 credit. The receipt does stated that "We do not keep a record of your credit" which seems odd given the credit is printed out and I had to given personal information to created an account. I was never notified by them that they were closing so I could redeem the credit or get a refund. They purchased my book and I, in the end, received no compensation for the books they purchased from me. My efforts to contact them have failed. I received no phone call or e-mail from them to resolve my book credit.
They purchased $206.74 worth of the books from me and I have not received any compensation for the value of the books, nor was I offered an opportunity to use the credits while they were in business. Essentially, I believe, they took my merchandise with the understanding I would receive credit for future purchased in their store. By them closing their store without notifying me resulted in them profiting, as I'm assuming the books purchased from me have been sold, without me being compensated in any manner for the value of the books.
