The Boot Box Reviews (3)

Review: My husband and I purchased a pair of [redacted] boots on Saturday 5/7/16 from the Boot Box in Meadville, PA. He wore them to work the following Monday 5/9/16. The boots made terrible raw marks on his legs through his socks and he had to take them off. He did not wear them again. We live about 45 minutes from the store and couldn't take them back until Saturday 5/14/16. When we got to the store, we told the girl that was working that we wanted to exchange the boots for a different brand, she told us to go back & find another pair of boots, a short time later she found us and said that the boots looked like they had been worn outside and we couldn't return them. (The boots were worn outside to go from our house to my husband's truck and from his truck into the store where he works. They are brand new boots) I called & talked to the returns manager, Mark, today (5/16/16) and he told me that the only thing he can do is send them in to the [redacted] company to see if they will give us a credit for them, this process will take 3 to 4 weeks but we can't return them to the store. He offered to have UPS pick them up for us but someone would have to be home for the 3 day window that he would schedule it for, no one is home during the day so I told him that I will make another special trip to Meadville next Saturday so he can send them in. In the meantime my husband has no boots to wear and we are out $89.95. When we purchased the boots, the clerk told us to keep the receipt because the boots have a 1 year warranty, I am very disappointed that she didn't also add that we wouldn't be able to return them if he stepped outside in them. We were expecting better treatment from a store that has been in business as long as the Boot Box has.Desired Settlement: We would like to exchange the defective boots for a different brand

Review: Purchased a pair of work boots from them. After taking them home and discovering they hurt too badly to be worn I took them back. Only to be told they will not refund the money. They were worn outside for ONE hour then promptly taken off due to pain. They claim there is no "comfort" return on these boots. I have never heard of this ridiculous statement, especially involving work boots. I do not see this policy on my sales slip OR anywhere on the brands box. I am out 130 dollars, at a loss as to what to do and embarrassed my family and I supported this business and gave them so much of our hard earned money only to be rudely treated when trying to return a single item I am unhappy with. It is the only time I have attempted to return anything to this store. My family, friends and I will no longer be supporting them and their rude behavior.Desired Settlement: I want my money back for these shoddy work boots. I would have settled for store credit but after that treatment I just want the money and nothing to do with them again.

Review: I bought a pair of [redacted] steel toe work boots around 12/6/2014 for $149.99. They are greta boots and were very comfortable until the steel began coming out and irritating my foot. I first notified [redacted] of the situation and that I did not have the receipt but I'm positive they could find it in their system. That was on2/28/15, they replied on 3/2/15 stating to contact the retailer and they would certainly be covered under their year long warranty. Since then I emailed the Boot Box that day 3/2/15 as well as 3/6/2015 with no response. I emailed [redacted] Customer Service again on 3/19/15 to see if they could step in to get this issue resolved and I got no response from them either. Steel Toe boots are a requirement for my jopb and cannot afford to spend another $150 on boots until this issue is resolved and the boots have only gotten worse to the point where I am in pain everyday awaiting a response and resolution no matter what measures I take to try to allieviate it, i.e. 2 pairs of socks. The left boot is now starting to do the same thing and I am at my wits end. The process should not have taken a month to get even so much as a let me look into it response.Desired Settlement: I paid a fair price and only want a fair product in return and not to have to be in apin all day. A simple exchange would suffice
