The Bostonian Reviews (2)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Regards,
[redacted]
This is an utter fantasy.  I did not have a personal problem with [redacted].  I did have a problem with him charging me for work that was never done and destroying my system.  The system that was ruined by [redacted] was not 16 years old.  The house it was initially installed on is now only 13 years old.  I do not know when the AC system was put into service but it is significantly less than 16 years.  I did send a note to Mr. Sparks where I wanted to have a face to face meeting regarding this matter but we never connected.
The owner has NEVER contacted me.  I had written to him twice with my complaint and expected solution.  He never had the courtesy to respond to me in any way.
The dye test was never performed and the search for the purported leak was never performed.  I know for a fact that [redacted] never opened the plenum that would be required to properly search for a leak.  There was NO residue from the expensive dye test that I was charged for and I am skeptical that any Freon was ever added to my system.
Upon examination of [redacted]'s purported fix to the leak there was NO evidence of any such repair AND the stated repair to me I later learned DOES not comport with industry standards.
Regards
[redacted]

We have done work for Mr. [redacted] and would like to address his concern. We did service his AC unit, we initially went on the maintenance call and added Freon to his system because it was low. Due to a leak in his system we preformed a leak dye test so we could figure out where the leak was. Mr....

[redacted] states his system was an old. our records show that his system was approx. 16yrs old at the time of service. The initial service we were on we put in 1lb of Freon. When we came back we found where the leak was coming from, it was found at one of the fittings and added an additional refrigerant. He states in his complaint that we apparently said that the compressor was burnt out, in our invoice it states that It was not operating. We recommended replacement due to its age and because of all the leaks in the system. We said that it would be costly to find and repair all the leaks. We stated that a new system would run him about $4000.00, but if he went with us Sparks Monroe that we would credit back half the cost of the repairs that he had already spent. That was if he opted to go with us and replace the system instead of doing the repair. While we are disappointed that Mr. [redacted] elected to have the system replaced by someone rather then us, it appears that the other company rendered the same options and opinions at almost the same cost. Furthermore I think its Ludacris that because he did not like our technician that he wants me to help pay for his cost. I spoke with Mr. [redacted] on a few occasions and his biggest complaint is that he did not like our technician [redacted]. Please find attached copies of invoices from the services that were preformed. It includes all details including the military discount that we did give to him.
