On September 23, 2014, I went to boulevard of dreams in search of bridesmaid dresses. At this time I found a dress I liked and the sales representative informed me the dress was available. At that time I gave two of the four bridesmaids sizes to her. Within the next month the final two girls gave their sizes as well. On October 24,2014 the maid of honor paid the required amount of half of the total bill and was informed the dresses would be ordered. On October 31, 2014 the maid of honor went back to the location and paid the remainder of the bill to assure everything would be completed smoothly. At that time the sales representative took the final payment and stated the business was just waiting for the product to arrive which should be shortly. On November 3, 2014, 10 days after the first payment was taken, the maid of honor was informed via landline that the dresses that at this point should have already arrived would not be available for purchase until January. At that time my maid of honor informed me and I went to the business personally and spoke to a sales representative about the situation. She was unable to tell me why the money was taken and no order was completed. The associate then contacted the owner via landline and asked me to speak to her. The owner informed me it was my fault that I did not come in more quickly for sizing and there was nothing she could do for me. When I was finally given back the money I was told by the representative that the owner stated, "It was ok for me to cash the check today." At this point I have 5 weeks to my wedding and I should not be worrying about finding dresses.Product_Or_Service: Black May Queen Desired SettlementDue to the business accepting money before checking if the products were available and stating they were already ordered I believe the business should have to help pay for the rush order on the dresses I do choose and now the rush I will have to pay for any alterations due to the delay in ordering and receiving of the dresses.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted], Store ManagerContact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted]The bride came into the store on September 23, 2014 and worked with the store manager [redacted]. The bride and her mother found a mother of the bride dress in the book that they would like to order. Brand NOX Style#[redacted]. They paid a down payment of $76.74. The bride also found a dress that she liked for her bridesmaids. [redacted] took he measurments of the two bridesmaids that were with her ([redacted] and [redacted]) and wrote down the style # of the dress that they liked so they wouldn't have to try to find it in the book again next time they came in. Mayqueen [redacted] for $199. [redacted] offered a 10% discount per dress since they were ordering as a group and informed them that once the store had all of the measurments they would be able to call Mayqueen for availability on sizes. The next time they came into the store was on October 24, 2014 and worked with a sales associate named [redacted]. She took measurments for [redacted] and a down payment of $384.16. They came in again on Friday, October 31, 2014 and worked with [redacted] again. She took the final measurments for [redacted] and the second payment for $384.16. All special orders are placed on Mondays. When the owner [redacted] called Mayqueen for availability on the dresses she was informed that the style # [redacted] would not be available again until January. [redacted] told [redacted] that she didn't have the dress available but that she did have another available style #[redacted]. [redacted] and the maid of honor [redacted] were extremely upset and asked for their money back. [redacted] had her sales associate [redacted] refund all of their money on Monday, November 3, 2014 check #[redacted]. [redacted] also refunded $76.74 towards their mother of the bride dress which they had already picked up and taken home. Check #[redacted]. She apologized for Mayqueen not having he dress available and asked if there was another style that she could order for them and would get the dresses in store in less than a week so they would still have time to have any alterations if needed. The bride informed [redacted] that they are ordering the same dress online for less money. Since then [redacted] hasn't heard from [redacted] or her maid of honor [redacted], but she did receive a letter from the Revdex.com for this complaint. As we have told the bride and her bridal party, we are happy to place an order on some dresses that are available in the proper sizes and get the dresses in less than a week as well as honor the same discount that was originally given to her party. We are extremely sorry for the bride and her situation and have told the maid of honor that anything we can do to help we would be happy to do. We hope she finds dresses that she needs in time for her wedding.
