The Boxer Rescue Incorporated Reviews (1)

Complaint deals with two aspects: Customer Service issues, and Advertising issues. We rescued a "family" dog from The Boxer Rescue Inc. The dogs profile made him out to be the ideal family dog. His profile claimed he was great with other dogs, people and children. We had the dog for two weeks and were forced to surrender him back to the rescue, on the condition that he showed aggression toward other dogs within our complex, and he attacked and bit (unprovoked) two people while walking. Within a week and a half of us surrendering the dog (Torque) back to the rescue, his profile was re-posted on the rescues "available dog" website, with an unchanged profile and a status of "application in process for adoption" under his name. We are concerned that this agency is not appropriately screening or placing their dogs. Such a hasty resubmission of his unchanged profile after questionable acts of aggression warrants cause for concern. We are concerned for another adopting parties safety, as well as their awareness of the dog's potential aggression.Product_Or_Service: Boxer - dogAccount_Number: noneDesired SettlementI'm requesting that attention be made aware to whomever is adopting the dog of previous questionable aggression. I'm also requesting that his online profile be changed to be reflective of such aggression, so that whomever chooses to adopt the animal is aware of potential risks and or liabilities. Thank You.Business Response see pdf.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)This business lies, and manipulates what it's consumers and adoptees say. Our housing association received a call from the people who were bitten. The people demanded the dog be removed from the premises. The housing association contacted us and made us aware that the bitten would not seek legal action, if the dog was removed from the premises. We told [redacted] that on the phone. Oh wait, she hung up on me before I had the chance to tell her that. as far as the dog being adopted to [redacted], and me " Mr. [redacted]" not witnessing the event, I didn't need to. I walked the dog daily myself, and chose to ignore several questionable aggressive behaviors. If my wife said the dog bit two people, I believe her. Regardless, this business lies and is not trust worthy. I'm finished with this process, and the business. They will not be hearing from me again, but they should be aware that if any of their dogs hurts another individual, we will have no issues with assisting in litigation forward. Final Business Response May 29, 2014TO: Revdex.comCase ID: [redacted] - [redacted] M. [redacted]Dear Sir/Madam:In response to the rebuttal from [redacted] M. [redacted] we respond as follows:The Boxer Rescue, Inc. has been placing dogs in adoptive homes for 4 years. We do not nor have we ever lied to any of our adoptive homes or foster homes. As stated in our previous response, we have a policy of 100% disclosure with all of the dogs we take into rescue. In this particular case, we never received any information from the adopter, Ms. [redacted] that indicated the couple that were allegedly bitten contacted their housing association or that they were told that they would not be subject to legal action if the dog was removed from the premises. Mr. [redacted] states that he was unable to relay that information because "[redacted] hung up on him". Mr. [redacted] became excited and heated during the telephone conversation and therefore [redacted] ended the phone conversation as to avoid any further confrontation. A return phone call was made shortly thereafter to speak to Ms. [redacted] to explain the same and Ms. [redacted] was completely understanding during that conversation and agreed that the conversation between Mr. [redacted] and [redacted] became heated and she said she completely understood why the phone conversation was ended abruptly. There was never any mention of Mr. [redacted]' alleged difficulties when he walked the dog. This is the first we are hearing of this information. In response to the allegation made that "this business manipulates what it's (sic) consumers and adoptees say", that's just not factual. In this matter, we received a telephone call from Ms. [redacted] and we reacted immediately by removing the dog from the premises that same day. The allegations contain in Mr. [redacted] complaint concerning the Boxer Rescue, Inc.'s behavior in this matter are not true.Sincerely,[redacted] and [redacted]The Boxer Rescue, Inc.
