Review: We checked in this hotel on 01072014 at 835 pm we went to dinner and returned to the hotel around 12 30 pm. When we returned the heater was on and blowing out cold air. We tried to adjust the heat but it would no blow out warm air. We tried to contact he office and no one was available and they had an emergency number that no one answered and the message stated that the mailbox was full. We just wanted to be put in a room with heat. We had no other choice to check into another hotel. The hotel we checked into was almost double the price. When we returned to Breakers Hotel in the morning we were told we had been refunded. Of course we should have been refunded we did not even stay there. They were so nasty did not even apologize for all the inconvenience. I wanted them to refund us for the difference we had to pay for the other hotel which they refused and did not even offer us another night complimentary at there hotel. We had to drive around at almost 1 in the morning to find a place to stay. Very bad business.Desired Settlement: I want them to pay for the hotel that we had to stay in and some type of reimbursement for all of the inconvenience.
Review: We recently visited the Breakers Hotel. Upon review of my banking statement we noticed that we were double charged for our stay. I called the hotel and the manager on duty would not refund the duplicate charge even though I supplied her with proof of my banking statement. She told me that she was only showing one charge and would not be able to refund the mistaken charge. I demanded and refund and she refused. I then told her I would be contacting the Revdex.com as well as my banking institution.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of my stay in the total of $444 for the mistake and for time and energy spent to take care of this matter.
Review: I stayed in the Breakers Hotel from 7/3 -7/7, for an estimated cost of $ 985.00 (not cheap), from the time of our check in I experienced nothing but problems. I travel to the beach every summer and have never seen bugs in any of the hotels I have stayed in. The hotel was absolutely filthy and smelled horribly. I couldn't even put anything on the floor for fear of bugs getting into the luggage ( I found one in he bed). The manager was extremely rude and did nothing to remedy any of my complaints. I asked for some type of refund since the quality of the Hotel was not what they advertise. She did tell me that they would have an exterminator come and spray the room. This concerned me since I have an 11 year old that had to sleep in the room and breathe in who knows what from them treating the room for bugs.Desired Settlement: I would like a full or partial refund since the Hotel was on the expensive side and we definitely did not get what we paid for.
