The Bridal Box Reviews (6)

I’m sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your experience at our store. I really would have wished you would have came to us first before filing a claim against us. I do find it surprising to be upset with us ordering you too large of a size when
the dress is not scheduled to even arrive for another month. Your bust measurements are exactly in between a size and a size so we ordered you a only needing a half inch to be taken in on the bust. Your waist is smaller but it is important to have the dress zip up all the way. It is common to order at least one size larger than what you normally wear in the bridal industry. The size charts are different from street wear designers. I noticed you calling us a scam so we could charge more in alterations. We do not do alterations here and again, we did order you the correct size so there would be minimal alterations needed. Once the dress arrives and you try it on, I’m sure you will understand You reached out to us via email asking for a refund and letting us know that you are no longer in the wedding. We replied via email that same day stating you that unfortunately, all sales are final, the dress is already in production and cannot be cancelled with the designer. You responded that you figured it was the case and seemed very understanding. You stated that you have now moved out of state and asked for us to give you a call in March when the dress arrives to update your new address so we can ship the dress to you. We replied and said we would be happy to do that for you. So we are little surprised that you are complaining about this too, the fact that we replied to your email, not called when you never requested a phone call and that you wanted the dress to be shipped from the designer to you directly when you never requested that either. Being a retailer, all dresses come to us first, that’s how it works for all retailers. We inspect them before delivering to the customer to make sure the product is just as you ordered. If you had a questions about that, again, I wish you would have just asked. We understand that you have been taken out of the wedding and that you are upset with the bride and now have a dress you can no longer wear. We contacted the bride and family members to speak about your claim and how they felt about their experience with usThe bride and the rest of the bridal party has been very happy with our service, never felt uncomfortable and they enjoyed their experience here at The Bridal Box. We are sorry you do not feel the same

Revdex.com:
I talked with the owner of The Bridal Box, Christy, regarding my complaint and she offered to have the dress shipped to me at no cost and also volunteered to look up the details of a wedding consignment store near me and send them with my dress. This resolution is satisfactory to me and I consider the complaint resolved.Thank you.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Revdex.com,[redacted] and The Bridal Box have come to an agreement.  We have granted her request for a refund for all rush fees and...

the dispute has been settled.  We would like this case to be closed and referenced as "settled".  [redacted] has already put in the request.   Let me know if you need anything else from me.Thanks,[redacted]

Review: Worst experience ever with this bridal shop. I ordered 3 bridesmaid dresses and spent $649. Included in this amount was a $40 rush fee per dress that I opted for to ensure I had time for alterations. When the dresses arrived at the shop, apparently they ordered the wrong dress from the designer so I had 1 dress that was not what I ordered. They did order a new dress that arrived the day before the wedding which was May 16, 2015 but I had no time to get it altered. Needless to say, I did not receive ANY of the dresses within the 6-7 week "RUSH" time frame. I ordered the dresses on Feb. 9th, 2015 and received 2 of the 3 on April 16th 2015. All I asked for was a credit for the rush fees for all three dresses. I worked directly with [redacted] and she refused. She agreed to refund the $40 for the wrong dress they ordered but not the others. I was literally asking for an $80 credit (after spending $649). And for the inconvenience alone, I would've thought that would've been the least they could do, not to mention the fact that I did not receive the dresses within the "RUSH" time frame. Very disappointed. I would not risk doing business with this boutique.Desired Settlement: I can provide information for the date I purchased the merchandise, the rush fee of $40 per item and tracking information for day they were delivered. This information will show that I did not receive the merchandise I ordered within the time frame in which I paid for. They agreed to refund the $40 rush fee for the incorrect dress they ordered but refused to refund the other $80 for the other 2 dresses. All I want is a refund of $80 for the other two dresses.

Review: I had a very negative experience with this bridal shop and felt that I needed to file a complaint about their professional misconduct. After measurements done by one the personnel for a bridesmaid dress, she insisted I order a dress 3 sizes larger than anything else I own. I raised concerns that that size was not correct and then another gal measured me (with different measurements) and brought the size down 1 size, making it now 2 sizes bigger than anything else I own. Instead of arguing with them, I thought that I could try on a dress for the same designer in a smaller size for confirmation. As it turns out, not a single dress smaller than a size 8 (3 sizes larger than the size I wanted to order) was made available for fitting. Despite raising my specific concerns and not being able to try on a smaller size, I was pressured into accepting the larger size because they made the situation very uncomfortable for me in front of the entire bridal party and the women family members of the bride. After placing my order with them and thinking more about it, I went home and searched the designers size chart, compared my measurements to it, and confirmed that the size ordered was 2 sizes too big. I thought I could call them and insist that they change the size because I didnt want to pay extra for alterations. Unfortunately, once the order is placed, there are NO changes allowed (including refunds, exchanges, or cancellations). They do this by making you sign the receipt of purchase that says in tiny print The Bridal Box is not responsible for the fit or size selected..., even though they measured me, said they compared those measurements to the designers sizing chart, and insisted on the size I ordered.Unfortunately, circumstances have changed and I am no longer a bridesmaid in the wedding. I live out of state and contacted The Bridal Box to work out shopping arrangements because I knew I would not be able to return or exchange the dress, not even for store credit. Their response to me was I could make shipping arrangements only AFTER they get it from the designer, instead of trying to help me get it directly to help save money. Now I am stuck paying about $200 for a bridesmaid dress for a wedding I am no longer in, and one that I can't wear because of their faulty measurements. On top of it all, now I am going to have to pay them directly to have it shipped to me when it should have been set up that way in the first place (because I live out of state). I went to write a review on [redacted] to help make sure this same thing doesnt happen to others and saw that the many of the 1-Star ratings shared similar experiences. I included two examples quoted from [redacted] directly: I will never recommend anyone go here for bridesmaid dresses. Every girl in the bridal party ordered their dresses according to what the lady recommended or got it one size smaller. Upon receiving the dresses for the whole bridal party, we all noticed they were huge! Now, we are stuck each paying over $100 in alterations.Wouldn't recommend this place to others, it doesn't seem like the people really know what they are doing. We got our bridesmaids dresses from here and got the sizes the lady said to get some even were told they needed plus sizes so they had to pay extra and everyones dress is way too big for them. Only one person in the bridal party got the right size and thats because she fought with them on the size. She was the one trying on the sample they had, which fit her PERFECTLY, and they were telling her based off her measurements she needed a dress that was 3 sizes bigger than the one she was actually trying on!! You would think they would think they would be better at knowing sizes, so unless you want to pay more in alterations than the dress cost don't go here.Desired Settlement: I want the Revdex.com to follow up with The Bridal Box and make them aware of customer concerns, especially ones where customers are held financially responsible to pay for something that was either erroneously ordered or ordered under the assumption that the personnel in the store were experienced professionals keeping the best interest of the customer in mind. It seems as if because they know they won't have a lot of "repeat" business, they don't make an effort to increase customer satisfaction. To me, it felt like the whole experience was a scam because they had no issue keeping customer money for mistakes made by their own personnel simply because customers are forced to sign a receipt that ensures The Bridal Box assumes no responsibility for any errors made.
