I received your letter concerning a dispute over a refund submitted 3/13/assigned complaint: ***.The person rejected my previous response. When any customer comes into the store to be measured for a tuxedo, standard procedure is to measure that person for the tux. This person brought their year old son into the store approximately months prior to the wedding date. Our standard procedure is to measure that person for a tux. She was concerned that the child may grow prior to the wedding. Our process is to measure the child. If the parent believes the child went through a large growth spurt, they can bring the child in to be re-measured. A typical child grows inches each year. In six months, we were not too concerned with the child changing sizes. If the child comes in to get his tux and the pants are too short, we alter the pants while the family is waiting in store. Typically a child will not change coat sizes, but if they do we are able to get a replacement coat for the child from our tuxedo supplier at no cost to the customer. The tuxedo shirt, vest, and tie would typically fit without any concerns.The individual signed a form stating if the wedding was cancelled, they would be reimbursed for any payment over $30. The $is non refundable down payment for the tuxedo and would not be reimbursed. This fee covers cost with credit card process, the cost to measure the individual, the cost to give this information to our tuxedo provider, and the cost it too to initially pick out the tuxedo with the bride and groom. I understand this individual does not agree with this cost, but unfortunately they agreed to the terms when they signed the tuxedo rental agreement. The wedding was cancelled and they were treated fairly. As a business owner, I must be fair and consistent with every person. It is important that I follow the same procedures for everyone

I am rejecting this response because:Your response ignored the issue that I am upset aboutMy six year old son was initially measured for a wedding that was months away I said something to the woman measuring him about the fact that he would grow a
considerable amount before the wedding I feel this should have been mentioned to me BEFORE they began measuring him I was shocked when I went to check out and was charged $for his tux when I was told I should bring him back in to be remeasured closer to the weddingNow looking back I should've complained then but did not This was a very shady transaction by The Bridal Shoppe to charge $for a fitting in which you wouldn't even be using those sizes I feel cheated This is why I would like $refunded If I this company, I would also refund the rest of the deposits paid to show the customer how sorry I was for my associate trying to cheat her At the very least I deserve the $refunded and your associates need to keep their customers informed BEFORE measuring young children for far out weddings and sneaking in a deposit The parents should have an option to wait until closer to the wedding to measure their ever growing children.
