The Best and the Brightest
Buffalo Roofing replaced a roof in July (2022) and we approached the event with more than a little trepidation. We were prepared for the Worst but were pleasantly surprised with the Best. Buffalo Roofing did everything right. In a nutshell, the company offered something that is too often a rarity: Respect for the Customer, with a recognition that time is of equal value to both parties. We sought the recommended 3 estimates before settling on the third, to repair a leak on the smaller roof of an extension of our home that all companies said would require a complete replacement and we concurred. The first two estimates were inordinately high (almost equal replacement costs for the entire house as for the small extension). It was Joey who did the initial inspection for Buffalo Roofing; he gave us a detailed written estimate on the spot. He volunteered that we might qualify for a Veteran's discount and was right; that was incorporated in the estimate. There were no false promises of a starting date and none was expected for a winter problem that did not require urgency. We received a phone call one day with a proposed starting date and each subsequent contact was a consultation, not an order or assumption. A small delay was requested with a detailed reason, and was not imposed. Another representative paid a visit to check on progress when the work started and to answer questions. The roofers themselves were clearly professionals and worked well in tandem, quickly but carefully and confidently. They took only one short break on an extremely hot day. We will not be able to completely judge the quality of their performance until the coming winter season but should there be unexpected glitches we feel confident that the company will respond promptly. A third employee, a CEO, also showed up to check on progress and our satisfaction with it. We have no hesitation in giving an Outstanding performance rating for the entire project, beginning to end.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The contactor's response is fraudulent and slanderousIt defies logic that I would knowingly void a year labor warranty after going through the construction fiasco caused by a subcontracted crew (not approved by me)that appeared to have no roofing experienceThe owner did not show up at the site for the first five days of what was contracted to be a 3-day job (which still remains incomplete)That being said, if the warranty had been voided (which it is not), then why did the contractor come to my residence to attempt to make repairs and assure my wife that the measures he took would prevent any further leakage? In terms of the slanderous reference to insurance fraud, the contractor is totally of baseI have had multiple conversations with my insurance carrier, I have received an initial payment for the original damage to the interior of my house, and an additional claim for the damage I continue to incur from continuing leakage is pendingThe contractor knows that I intended to file an insurance claim on the damage caused DURING construction as I requested a copy of the company's insurance certificate from him to make the claimIt was the company's worker that spoke to the claims adjustor and admitted to the inferior work The long list of documented deficiencies will be presented at the next step in dealing with this deceptive contractorIt appears it is time to retain an Attorney Thank you for also trying to get MrKto fulfill his contractual obligation Regards, [redacted]

The contactor's response is fraudulent and slanderous. It defies logic that I would knowingly void a 20 year labor warranty after going through the construction fiasco caused by a subcontracted crew (not approved by me)that appeared to have no roofing experience. The owner did not show up at the site for the first five days of what was contracted to be a 3-7 day job (which still remains incomplete). That being said, if the warranty had been voided (which it is not), then why did the contractor come to my residence to attempt to make repairs and assure my wife that the measures he took would prevent any further leakage?

The long list of documented deficiencies will be presented at the next step in dealing with this deceptive contractor. It appears it is time to retain an Attorney.
Thank you for also trying to get Mr. K. to fulfill his contractual obligation.
