Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/07/15) */
We have investigated this matter and it appears that Mr. [redacted]'s records may be incomplete. We have responded to his request for validation on two occasions, as evidenced in the attachments. As Mr. [redacted] may or may not be aware...

what the standard is that federal law requires which we have satisfied on both occasions. We are providing the Revdex.com the same information that we have previously provided Mr. [redacted] and you will agree that what we have provided will satisfy the legal requirement. If you have any additional question please feel free to contact me directly. Thank you

That's a really nice bill. However, it does NOT comply with the validation laws. The amount on the bill does not even match what they are reporting on my credit report. It does NOT establish any right to collect or ownership of The Bureaus Inc.
1) They have to prove that we have agreed to do business together (contract)
(UCC 3501);( Prove at least the 4 basic elements (1. Offer; 2. Acceptance; 3.Consideration (equal risk and financial consideration); 4. Meeting of the minds (full disclosure))
2) They have to give a full accounting. Every charge and what was purchased, fee, payment, credit, interest, how they calculate what they claim is owed from origination to present [redacted] v. [redacted] Law Firm; [redacted] v. [redacted] Financial Services)
3) Copy of the assignment or purchase from the OC; (UCC 3-309 which requires them to prove ownership of the note or authorization to demand payment)
4) Full chain of assignments from charge off to present;
5) Prove they own the alleged debt/account with full clear title; (UCC 9-406 requires proof of assignment or assignments necessary to show title)
6) Proof they were on the original contract between you and the original creditor (73 Am Jur sect. 93) & [redacted] v. [redacted] Corporation)
7) FCRA Sect. 603 (o)(5)(A)(i) have to have consumer's authorization to furnish information on a credit bureau.
8) verification must be an affidavit from the Original Creditor, not just some claim that it was investigated
They are breaking Federal Law. Therefore, they deserve an "F" rating by the Revdex.com, if the Revdex.com is a legitimate source of information. Have The Bureaus not just furnish an invoice but the above information. They won't because they don't have it. The company listed on the invoice isn't on my credit, but The Bureaus are and that is who I'm going after. Who are they????? Why should I pay them????
Final Business Response /* (4000, 11, 2014/08/11) */
We respectfully disagree. We have complied with Federal law based on [redacted] v. [redacted] the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals adopted the standard: "Verification of a debt involves nothing more than the debt collector confirming in writing that the amount being demanded is what the creditor is claiming is owed; the debt collector is not required to keep detailed files of the alleged debt." We feel we have complied with FDCPA based on the standard above. Thank you

Refused to remove paid collection off my credit report as promised, despite multiple calls and being assured it would be removed. Manipulative and deceptive.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
Aswer me this. Why can I call your firm and get all of my info from your reps if I dont have an account there. Stop lying through this and do the right thing. You have violated several [redacted] laws through this whole process. Now you are refusing to address the issue. What kind of busoness are you running?
Sincerely,
[redacted]

More information is needed such as a social security number or any other names that the account could be under. Based on the information provided in this inquiry we could not locate the consumers name in our database. Thank you

Please have the collection agency sent me the information they received from [redacted] Card Services Inc regarding this dept.

The Bureau's Inc. is a debt buyer. Their website might be flashy and use big words to describe what they do, but in all actuality, they buy debt for pennies on the dollar and then collect the full amount due from debtors. The Bureau's then use outside collection agencies to do the collecting for them. One in particular that they use is [redacted]; who has a bad habit of allowing a meek speaking person on the phone while a manager listens in. When no resolution can be made, the manager jumps on the line having been listening the entire time. Your not even put on hold, this manager just begins to chime in with opinions and ridiculous suggestions. The manager is usually very aggressive and interrupts continuously making it almost impossible for resolution to be made. All of my interactions with [redacted], who represent The Bureau's Inc. have been extremely negative and unprofessional.

Mr. [redacted] has been communicating with our office directly in attempts to resolve this complaint.  His account was finally identified and office has been corresponding with him

Please accept this as our response to Mr. [redacted] inquiry.  We would first like to thank Mr. [redacted] for serving our country with the Marines.  We would also like to apologize for any confusion the consumer may have related to our obligations on debt validation.  After reviewing our...

records, we show that a validation letter was sent to the consumer in June 2016 upon his initial request.  However, in efforts to avoid any future confusion we are attaching the letter that was sent in June as well as 13 billing statements and a copy of the application.  We hope that these documents provide the information needed to resolve this account.  We believe that we have worked in good faith and believe that we have not done any wrongdoing related to the collection of this account.
