The Cabinet Connection of North Carolina Inc Reviews (1)

Received only 80% of merchandise ordered, despite paying invoice in full, up front. On 3/11/14, we contracted with Cabinet Connection of NC to provide us with 5 kitchen floor cabinets including 2 specialty end cabinets and 3 standard interior floor cabinets. We paid the invoice in full, up front, and were promised delivery in 3 weeks, which should have meant that we received our cabinets on our about April 1st. This was important to us, as we were going to be out of town from 04/11 through 04/20. We did not receive the cabinets in the time frame promised, and when we called Cabinet Connection, we were told that we could get them Friday of the following week. We said ok, because it would still be done before our departure. Delivery and installation were scheduled for 04/11/2014. On 04/09/2014, my husband spoke with [redacted] at Cabinet Connection, and [redacted] asked if we could take delivery of the cabinets on 04/10 to help them out with some scheduling issues, but that the installer would still be there on 04/11. My husband agreed, and [redacted] said the cabinets should be at our house early afternoon on 04/10. At 3pm on 4/10 we had not received our cabinets and my husband again contacted [redacted] to see if they were indeed being delivered. At this point, my husband was informed that they could not locate one of our 3 interior cabinets, but would be delivering the other 4 we had ordered. He said that they would continue looking for the missing 5th cabinet, and hopefully they would find it in time to install the following day. Suffice it to say the cabinet was not found, but we could not delay installation because we had also purchased a granite countertop from another company that was due to be put in on 04/11 as well. So now there are 4 cabinets in my kitchen, with a hole squarely in the middle waiting on the 5th cabinet. When I called [redacted] on Friday the 11th to see what the issue was and when we could expect a resolution, he had no answers but did manage to complain to me that this job was now going to cost him money because he had to send out an installer twice and order a new cabinet. It was completely unprofessional, as though it's our fault that someone in his shop cannot count cabinets. We fulfilled our portion of the contract, and I am waiting, 6 weeks after full payment, for Cabinet Connection to fulfill theirs. We contacted them on 04/21, after we returned from being out of town, and asked what the status was. Supposedly, a new cabinet will be delivered to us on Friday, April 25th. Yet again, they did not contact us or give us any update. We have had to beg for information and be made to feel as though we are a nuisance every step of the way. If all this resulted in a superior product, I would deal with it, but as of now, I have incomplete cabinets and no offer of any sort of restitution has been made.Desired SettlementWhat I am looking for from Cabinet Connection of NC is twofold. First, I would like delivery and installation my final cabinet and hopefully the dye lot is the same and it matches the existing 4 that are installed; if not, we will have yet another issue. Secondly, I would expect some sort of financial restitution for their failure to live up to their portion of the contract. There is no way that my husband and I should have to call this business repeatedly to just get delivery of what we were promised and what we paid for. Nor should my kitchen be an eyesore while we wait for them to rectify their mistake. Had we not made the costly error of paying in full at the beginning, we certainly would not have paid full price for this level of hassle and poor customer service. Business Response Dear [redacted] & Revdex.com - [redacted] is correct that our project with did not go smoothly. I was surprised to get this notification as we completed the work April 25th. [redacted] is correct that she ordered 5 cabinets, which [redacted] ordered from [redacted] Cabinets. Our paper work has 5 cabinets ordered and the driver shows 5 cabinets delivered to my store in Morrisville. As of today, May 21st, we have never found the 5th cabinet. So she is right we did not have a good reason for her that it was missing, my only guess is that it was stolen or delivered to the wrong address and the driver got his delivery paperwork wrong. Regarding communication, this must be where we let [redacted] down. I had thought that [redacted]'s communication was good as relaying the issue we were having with truth, not blaming someone else or making up stories. We did deliver and install 4 of the 5 cabinets so that the countertop could stay on schedule and not hold up the overall project. I had thought this was going above and beyond, when we had an issue, we fixed it without regard to cost for Cabinet Connection. [redacted], I am sorry that you thought [redacted]'s comment about not making money was a negative towards you, he make that comment to show you that we were partner's in the missing cabinet, not only were you not getting what you wanted, but now [redacted] was not making money working for you. That comment was meant to show solidarity in the situation, not divide, so I sincerely apologize it came across wrong. Working in people's homes is always a challenging task as we are balancing their schedules and working in one of their largest emotional and financial realms of their life. [redacted], I do apologize that the project did not go as smoothly as anticipated, but I hope that going forward you will enjoy your new space.Best regards, [redacted]Cabinet Connection of NC
