Review: This establishment does NOT stand behind the product they sell. I purchased an 8 Gig SanDisk memory card for a camera. The manager took the card out of the product wrapping and placed it in the camera. Neither my wife nor I touched the disk. A couple of hours later, after 40 photos, the camera showed a message that the memory card would not store any more photos. As we were with a Road Scholar tour, our only option was to purchase another memory card from a different store such that we could continue to take photos during our vacation. Due to the full schedule of the Road Scholar tour, we weren't able to return to The Camera Shoppe until 3 days later, 5/12/16. The manager was present and we asked for a refund of our purchase price for the defective memory card. The manager pointed to a notice posted a full 10 feet up on the wall that stated that they did not give refunds or allow exchanges. After 10 minutes of heated discussions, in which the manager vehemently ACCUSED US of having broken the disk, she finally pulled out a similar disk from a "junk" box and put it in the camera. We did not need another disk as we had already purchased the second one. She would NOT refund the money ($33.06) nor would she provide us with a new replacement disk (again, we did not need a second disk, but that would have been preferable to the one she had placed in the camera). It is apparent that this shop, located in the French Quarter, takes unfair advantage of the tourists and assumes that such customers just have no alternative.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund check in the amount of $33.06 sent to my home.

Review: Shop overcharged me on each item. Did not give me an itemized statement and then refused to refund the overcharge or give a full refund. After refusing to refund my money they told me I was trespassing and had to leave or they would call the police. I walked outside at 5pm and called the police. I stood in the rain for 2hours. My items were left on the counter. The police never showed. The manager, who was a bit assaulting and threatening with his language, threw my items at me as he licked the door at 7pm.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded my money.

Review: On the 14 the I made a $140.00 purchase because the sales person assured me the two items I was buying would help my phone, a new battery and a charger. The two items did not work and with receipt in hand went to return or exchange items. Manager named Joey was very hostile and accused me of breaking the items. He also said he wasrecording the conversation. He would not listen to me and threw me out of store.Desired Settlement: A charge credit of $140. Or a bank certified check.

Review: hello, I stopped in to replace a charger for a digital camera. I was offered one that "might work" and bought it with the proviso that I could return or exchange it. it didn't work to my satisfaction so the next day 7/30/13 I brought it back. a different man switched it out for something very similar. no better, I returned it today 8/1/13 and asked for a return of cost $43.59. the original man and the other man were present. I was told that the charger was now used and thus I was not entitled to 1 cent refund. they got ugly and I left. please advise me of what I now can do. thanks, [redacted]Desired Settlement: full refund.

I suspect these people are involved in a criminal enterprise. possibly undocumented aliens.

If this is tolerated by the city and local law enforcement, I must go some other route to

restitution. please advise.
