*** *** purchased a *** *** *** with over 155,miles for $and financed approximately $1400, on which he is still making payments. It is an older car, but was safety checked prior to sale and ran and drove well. About months after he purchased the car,
it had some problems. The water pump had started leaking and some suspension components were loose. The estimate for repairs was $1585. It was unfortunate that the car needed such expensive repairs, however these problems were not present when the vehicle was sold. They arose months after the sale, and we were under no obligation to help him with these repairs; but we took care of it for him anyway. We did the entire job at a cost to him of only $110. That is a $discount; nearly the price he paid for the vehicle! Now, months after the sale the car has an oil leak. It needs a new oil pan gasket, which we gave him an estimate of $to repair. He declined the repairs due to a lack of funds. The car can still be driven while saving for the repair, as long as the oil level is checked and topped off as neededI understand *** ***’s frustration, but we’ve gone above and beyond what is customary for the sale of a year-old, $used car. We really try to do everything we can to make things right for our customers, but we cannot be held responsible for everything that will ever go wrong with this vehicleCars need to be maintained and repaired. This is common knowledgeIt is a multibillion dollar industry that supports millions of jobsHe has owned the car for over six months. Far too much time has passed to return the car for a refund or exchangeThe only available option would be for *** *** to trade the vehicle in toward the purchase of a different vehicleLastly, I’d like to address some serious, baseless allegations that were made by *** ***. The suggestion that any of our employees drink alcohol while working with vehicles or students is completely and frankly offensive. We do work with students here, helping them learn a trade and gain work experienceWe take this responsibility very seriously, as we do the responsibility of ensuring families get around safely in their vehicles. There is zero tolerance for this type of behavior at work. Furthermore, we are an installation and service center for breathalyzer ignition interlock devices. Our employees often take breathalyzer tests as part of their job installing and calibrating these devicesSo no, *** *** did not “notice beer on some of the workers breathe.” If you were to investigate our business, you’d find that in our years in business we’ve had zero Revdex.com complaints, zero DMV complaints, and over star reviews all around the internet. I’m requesting that this complaint be removed due to the lack of any evidence to support such serious allegations. This went beyond the bounds of a complaint about a business transaction to a slanderous attack on the character and integrity of our employees and our businessThank you for your careful consideration of this matterSincerely, Jay F* Owner

safety checked prior to sale and ran and drove well.  About 4 months after he purchased the car, it had some problems.  The water pump had started leaking and some suspension components were loose.  The estimate for repairs was $1585.  It was unfortunate that the car needed such expensive repairs, however these problems were not present when the vehicle was sold.  They arose 4 months after the sale, and we were under no obligation to help him with these repairs; but we took care of it for him anyway.  We did the entire job at a cost to him of only $110.  That is a $1475 discount; nearly the price he paid for the vehicle!  Now, 6 months after the sale the car has an oil leak.  It needs a new oil pan gasket, which we gave him an estimate of $360 to repair.  He declined the repairs due to a lack of funds.  The car can still be driven while saving for the repair, as long as the oil level is checked and topped off as needed. I understand [redacted]’s frustration, but we’ve gone above and beyond what is customary for the sale of a 16 year-old, $2000 used car.  We really try to do everything we can to make things right for our customers, but we cannot be held responsible for everything that will ever go wrong with this vehicle. Cars need to be maintained and repaired.  This is common knowledge. It is a multibillion dollar industry that supports millions of jobs.
