This will be my final response to any correspondence regarding this complaint. I will address a couple issues/questions that he raised. 1. The Vilas County Sheriff’s Department was called because the Eagle River Police Department can be dispatched through them and they then respond. 2. I don’t have any idea of what he is talking about regarding FaceBook. As stated before, The Car Shop is not responsible for any damage to Patrick Brumm’s vehicle. Again, as stated in my previous emails, we are willing to refund his money but we will not answer any more accusations. Sincerely, *** ***

On May 16, 2017, the customer came into our facility and asked that we replace a fuel filter that he had purchased and had tried to replace himself.  We replaced it as requested and he left.  We believe that if it was running bad when he left, he would have returned immediately...

complaining.  He came back a week later and accused us of intentionally damaging his vehicle so that he couldn’t leave town.  We did not damage anything on his van and the new repair that he is talking about has nothing to do with the earlier repair.  We checked with two part stores on the part and it was not available at one and the other quoted us as being 4 days out.  Prior to his outburst, we did offer to put the part on for him free of charge and even offered to give him his money back on the initial repair because he was obviously not happy.  We have been in business for over 30 years and past experience has shown us that there are just some customers that you can’t please, and it is easier to have them take their business elsewhere.  When his outburst became out of control in person and several times on the phone, we contacted the local authorities because we wanted it documented.  This is something that we have been instructed to do by the authorities.  I am more than happy to supply you with statements from as many customers as you would like that can attest to our repair facility being professional, honest, and extremely reputable.  Sincerely,  [redacted]

These guys are beyond excellent. Genuinely personal, extremely competent, graciously accommodating, and even with all the above very reasonably priced. We looked very hard for an honest and trustworthy car mechanic after our previous mechanic (literally) died. We took a bit of a chance on The Car Shop, based on their reviews. Now, we are absolutely die-hard patrons. My wife's car needs to be 99.99% reliable, and they have kept it going strong well past the 250,000 mile mark. Unbelievable! I highly, HIGHLY recommend them.
