 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
First off, no claim against a moving company (the US government) was filed. Did they damage the flooring slightly while moving furniture? Yes. In fact, your associate was particularly excited about filing a claim because the additional business it would provide. We hate to disappoint, but no claim has been filed. Furthermore, character attacks me as a person are cheap, low, and unbecoming of a professional business. I gave six years of my life in defense of this nation and one year deployed to Iraq. I didn't risk my life every day with a flag on my shoulder to be accused of fraud when I return. I continue to serve the community as a school teacher in a low income neighborhood in north Jacksonville. Resorting to personal attacks, however baseless and fictitious as they may be, is cheap. I have been entrusted by the U.S. government with a Top Secret security clearance and I have been entrusted by the state of Florida to be in charge of children by myself. I don't need to prove my character to anyone, and certainly not to a shady floor company. I would advise Carpet Man to refrain from defaming my character without evidence.
While it may seem simple and easy to accuse me of having a history of filing these claims, it is not based in truth and only in Carpet Man's distorted view of reality. If I need to prove this in a court of law, so be it. Carpet Man destroyed the outside of my house. Carpet Man did NOT respond to the problem in a timely manner. When they finally DID respond, the problem was NOT fixed. It is really simple. I want my garage restored simply to the way it was BEFORE you destroyed it. NOT the way it was done with the stucco protruding noticeably. We asked three neighbors if they could spot the fix on our garage. They all could, from their own driveways. Thus, the problem is not fixed. If Carpet Man cannot fix this with integrity and professionalism, I need the money to fix the problem. Fixing their mistake will now take more work and require the front garage trim to be repainted.
I want my house back the way we had it before you destroyed it. We offered you an out so you did not have to report this to your insurance company. You do not want to fix the garage properly and you do not want your insurance company to know about it. You cannot have it both ways. Be a professional. It's not professional and no evidence has been provided that a professional did it. Do the right thing and stop side stepping the inevitable.
Regards,
[redacted]

My company has no further action on this issue other than to forward before and after pictures of this minor stucco repair.  We paid a professional stucco repair company and a professional painter to fix this minor issue. We also have multiple pictures of other sections of their home.  We don't believe this customer is acting very reasonable.  We also believe that this customer is trying to get my company to pay for an entire repainting of their house.  This matter is closed as far as we are concerned. We also don't take kindly to being taken advantage of with a $2000.00 request to fix an issue that we paid $150.00 to properly fix within industry standards.  We also helped this client out free of charge to give them an estimate to replace their flooring due to furniture people supposedly damaging the new flooring.  My salesperson had to crawl around on their floor to find what appeared to be nothing.  We believe that this customer has filed another claim with the moving company to get additional money.  We also believe that these people have a history of such claims.  Again, we have no further action.
