We purchased a used cart from Peter Benson, the owner, n JuneHe told us this particular cart had no issues and would serve us wellFoolish and inexperienced we told him we would take him by his wordThe cart had a completely rusted through frame and in fact had broken away in parts from the main frameUpon discovery we confronted Peter at his storeAt first he told us that's what 5k buy you and offered no remedies other than trading it in and buying new from himAfter a lengthy discussion that included him telling us he was happy to lawyer up, he agreed to an exchange to another cart which was in pieces on his lawnThe frame looked fine and given no other options we agreed to the tradeweeks later the cart was delivered and looked much better than the first oneLittle did we know that he literally put it together with spare partsAfter two weeks of driving it, the king pin and shock broke down, rendering it useless Towing it to a shop, we had the kingpin and shocks replaced and brakes adjusted, since they had stopped working properly in the two weeks of driving
Further checking revealed clutch issues, black spark plugs and piston issuesWhen it's all said and done we are going to spend at least another $1k to get it Road readyEver heard e expression " putting lipstick on pigs"? Apparently a specialty of Mr Peter and the cart store that caused him to be run out of Port A and now fooling unsuspecting customers in Rockport

Enclosed is a check in the amount of $529.00. $for an enclosure and $for a windshield(Even though no windshield is written on the buyers invoice that YOU signed.) Also enclosed is your warranty card and owner's manual. We wish you and your cart all the best and we are sorry that you are that very rare customer that we could not appease.
