I am rejecting this response because: These are just some of the photos that I took after ** the maintenance man did repairsThe stove is not safe and he repaired it, he put the stove back together with the same grease on the wall, filth behind the stove on the floor, and spider webs. On January 6th I will be turning my keys in and moving out of The Cascades Apartments Homes. The courtesy Ozone that you have scheduled for Monday can now be done once I leave on January 6th which will be no later than 9-10amI apologize for any inconvenience but I can no longer live in these conditionsI have suffered long enoughThere is no need staying somewhere and I am miserable and very uncomfortableI should not have to live like this. I never refused service but simply told *** *** that I had a doctors appointment on the day she chose to come do repairsOnce I told *** *** I had a doctors appointment, she still told me she would like to come the next day, to start repairs not even asking me did I have plans and or what was my scheduleI again told her that I was not availableShe then got upset and began to walk out my apartment and said to me in a unprofessional/sarcastic way "Well Let me know when you are available Ms***OK", she walked towards the front door, grabbed my doorknob, and closed my door as I proceeded to respond. I never told anyone that the carpet was wet, mildew and or mold. As a matter of fact, I never mentioned the carpetThe smell is coming from the vent as if there is mildew and or mold in the atticIt smells like a wet carpetThere is a differenceIt did not begin to smell until after it rainedEd also smelled it and explained that there was a treatment done before I moved in and he would call someone to look at itI asked *** was the smell and or treatment that was done have anything to do with mice and she said noThat's how bad the smell wasYou do on he other hand have mold in this apartmentThis is the shower. Yes, I was treated unfairlyI signed a form giving *** *** permission to give my rental information (as I did when I moved in the Cascades), She did not and was not going to fax the informationShe told me you (*** ***) told her she was unable to send any information regarding my rental historyYou and or her have that right? That is like holding me hostage and that is how I feltI had to practically beg *** to Fax the informationI signed a release form you have no right to withhold my information as if you are my guardianNot only did she not fax it but she held on to it for about a week before I went to the office and asked her about itShe also told me you (*** ***) told her that I had to be on noticeI was on notice and she still did not send itI asked for a copy and was refused but gave me a copy of all other papers I asked forThat to me is reta***tionEver since I told her that I was going to the doctor and I was unavailable for repairs and ever since I presented my complaint and photos things have gone down hill. I addressed the sink and mirror the same day I moved in and it was not ordered until after Dec20thMaintenance came in and did a lousy job and left many things undone like the balcony, the drawers, etc After 35-days of being here and a presentation, this is when I began to be heardThere is no way I should have had to be here for so long with a rusty bathroom sink among all the other repairs therefore, how can you say things could have been done sooner had I not refused? That was only one day I told *** I had an appointmentThere after, I told *** the times I was available You mentioned this is not how your business is ranWhy did ** (maintance) put the back of the stove on without cleaning the back of the wall, spider webs and the rubbish that was behind the stoveHe told me he was going to take the stove out and clean it but it appears he felt I would not see it and you think this is the correct way to run a apartment complex? That makes me think and feel like I am being taking advantage of and it apparent he does not careHow can you explain that? The Pictures prove it I refuse to live in these conditions and I have taken actions against *** *** and the Cascades Apartment HomesYou see that there were things overlooked and or needed to be repaired and yet your say I have not been mistreated, taken advantage of and treated unfairlyMy apartment is not safe and or healthy and you refused to let me out my leaseWhat if you were in my shoes? How would you feel? You said "I do apologize for not personally responding within a timeframe that is acceptable to you" Although it sounds like you were being sarcastic, I believe hours is a sufficient timeframe to get back with someone as I was told from your Regional OfficeYes, I understand people have time off, vacations, etcbut when you run a business such as yours, one would think you would have a back up planI also called your office and I was spoke with the operatorShe told me that she was not going to give me any information, she was understaffed, there was no one that could speak with me, and she was not going to do research for meWow! I was just asking questions to how to get in touch with you and what was the process. Have a blessed dayThank you for you respondingI will turn down the $dollars off rent and will continue correspond with DFEH and Legal Services. *** ***

Hello,I've looked into the matter regarding *** *** We have decided to provide a full refund of $in addition to 20% off on her next stayI tried to reply back on the Revdex.com website but it wouldn't let mePlease relay this message to her. ***

Dear ***, I do apologize for not personally responding within a timeframe that is acceptable to you. Please note that I am often times out of the office in the field. I hope you can understand that due to the holidays there have been several short and closure days and as I explained in my previous correspondence I was on vacation for a while. Of course those items are not your concern and as an organization we have an obligation to respond so I have ensured that my site team has been in constant communication with you regarding the entry of your dwelling and the repairs that need to be made in addition to when you can expect my response. I have been following up diligently with the management team on site and I have had an opportunity to review your move in check list, work orders you placed, the items in your correspondence and the documented repairs. In no way have we tried to treat you unfairly and I am sorry you feel that way I reviewed each item you listed in your letter. Although it is our policy that the unit be thoroughly walked both prior to a move in occurring and with the resident at move in it does appear that not all items were to our standard. I am terribly sorry that some items were missedI can assure that this is not our standard practice. As I mentioned before, there were items that were not present or reported at move in but you did report some items prior to your letter and most of the items you reported were resolved. The items you presented in your letter could have been addressed sooner but I was advised that you refused access and we had to send a notice of entry to conduct the repairs. As of today, it is my understanding that all the items have been resolved with the exception to the o-zone treatment which you chose to reschedule for Monday the fifth. In review of the list of items, I found that most of them were related to not being aesthetically pleasing and I agree with your that we should have done a better job addressing those details prior to your move in. I did not identify any issues that were impacting habitability. Attached you will find the list I compiled as part of my research into your query Regarding the smell in your dwelling, our team was unable to identify it and resorted to bring in a third party whom was also unable to identify it. As a courtesy, we scheduled the o-zone treatment for your dwelling which again is the only item pending. I do apologize that you were told by our answering service that you would get an immediate response for the bathroom sink leak that occurred on the 28th of December. There was some miscommunication on the answering service’s behalf and I am working with a supervisor to ensure this doesn’t happen again. I understand that the carpet was not impacted by the water and this was further verified by a third party water remediation company. They did not locate any signs of water intrusion or mold in your dwelling The needed repairs were done the next morning by the maintenance team. We would like to offer you a concession of $for the inconvenience of the repairs. I encourage you to contact me or the site team if you have any other concerns. Sincerely,

This letter is in response to the complaint for [redacted] ID # [redacted]. [redacted] moved in on 11/17/2014 and a move in inspection was completed by management with [redacted] on the same day. There were a few minor items were noted but overall she was pleased with the appearance of the apartment home. At that time there were no requests for any changes or repairs. Please see attached move in check list.On November 20, 2014 we received the first work order regarding maintenance items that were not to her satisfaction. All of the items that are listed in her complaint were completed. Please see attached spreadsheet with competed maintenance items. Most of the items were related to not being aesthetically pleasing. The carpets were cleaned professionally prior to her move in on November 10, 2014.At [redacted]'s request she put in a notice to move on 12/19/2014 and we accepted her notice. The request from Cannery Place Apartments for the rental verification was returned via fax and management received confirmation that the fax went through successfully. At no time was management rude with Jacquelyn and we are sorry if any of the interactions with management team made her feel that way.On January 2, 2015 the scheduled o-zone treatment was rescheduled at [redacted]'s request to January 5, 2015. We received a letter from [redacted] on January 5, 2015 stating that she would deny access for the scheduled o-zone treatment in her unit and would vacating by January 6, 2015.It is our commitment to provide exceptional customer service to each and everyone of our residents. It is also our obligation and responsibility to make any maintenance repairs if something is not correct. We regret to advise you that we were not able to meet [redacted]'s satisfaction and she has since vacated the dwelling. Please let us know if we can be of any other assistance in this matter.Sincerely,[redacted]Property ManagerThe Cascades###-###-####

I am rejecting this response because: Lia Patterson is not being totally honest. Lia Patterson did send my rental verification for 4 days. The day she told me she was faxing my rental verification to Cannery Apartments she did not. She faxed it the next day. Which made it another day that I/Cannery Apartments had to wait on her. That is a sign of control. Management at the Cannery informed me what Lia Patterson told them I was breaking my lease and basically I may be a problem.   I had to pay 12,000 dollars to move into another Beautiful Apartment and I am asking to be refunded my deposit. I emailed Marina Skelton this morning regarding my deposit and was told that it takes 21 days after move out for refunds. The Cascades Apartments are not what they claim and needs plenty work. It looks good on the outside but the inside is horrible and needs attention. I do not have a problem taking Lia Patterson and The Cascades Apartment Homes to court. I have suffered with PTSD, Anxiety and many other disabilities. I stressed that to Lia Patterson on a few occasions. I will not allow anyone to take advantage of me. I have been taken advantage of all my life and once again, I have to endure more that has just been added to my disability!. Lia Patterson has not made me feel comfortable and she has truly been honest. Lia Patterson does not care because if she did, she would be honest and give me back my deposit knowing my apartment was not in any way ready to move in. This is how you can tell how sincere someone is. Instead of making me go through all this, just do the right thing and refund me my deposit. If not please let me know so I can continue my Small Claims Law Sue. My apartment was not cleaned and there were minor repairs that were seen when I moved in because all the other repairs were either painted over and or covered up. Once maintenance came back to fix the repairs they still did a bad job and repaired items on top of the filth that was already there and presented. Thank You Jacqueline Douglas

Homes###-###-####[redacted]

Review: To Whom it may Concern:I ([redacted]) moved into The Cascades Apartment Homes on November 17, 2014. I was given brief walk through. During the walk through Ms. [redacted] and I pointed out the mirror was defected and rust in the sink bathroom sink. After being here a week, I had realized there were many defects as well as the apartment was improperly cleaned and maintenance. On November 22nd I went to the office with the complaint and spoke with Sasha [redacted]. I showed her the photos of some of the things I felt was the most important and because it was late in the evening. we agreed that I would email her and talk on Monday. I emailed Ms. [redacted] on November 24th. On Monday. Ms. [redacted] was not working so I spoke with Ms. [redacted] regarding my concerns. I showed her the pictures she apologized and made an appointment for Tuesday December 2nd, 2014. On December 2nd on or around 2:00pm maintenance came to my apartment to fix the problem/s. Once they were finish, I was in awe because what was supposed to be fixed was just painted over and left half done. I thought maintenance was going to come back and finish and or had to order some materials. Its December 16th and they have yet to return. Here is a list of things that needed attention when I moved in The Cascades Apartments Homes.Kitchen drawers were disgusting and has yet to get new onesKitchen counter was cracked and covered up with some kind of paint or puddyThe refrigerator does not close on its own and the bottom drawer was cracked. I woke up in the morning to an open refrigerator. So now I have to check to make sure its closed all the time. My bottom drawer was replaced from another unit. Burners are burned out. Left burner does not get hot if on 5Used ice trayThe bolts that hold up the cabinets have been neglected, painted over, and appears to look moldy and rustie (extremely bad)Leak Under sinkBroken StoveBathroom sink rusty and had patches of paint covering up what looks like rust or chipped paint. The bathroom drawer fell out which appears to be holding up the cabinets. The bolts are horrific and there is lots of rust under the sink in the bathroom,The bathroom must have been painted as well, when I wash the bathtub, paint continues to come off. Bathroom sink handle is extremely loose and was told that is the best they can doI was given a nasty used bathtub stopperMy bedroom closet is being held up with this white fill inMy living room vertical was holding on with clear tapeBalcony was half painted with patches and is still not paintedMy door knobs were just put together (half done) and I don not believe my carpet was cleaned properly if cleaned at all. I used to clean carpets. I did everything appropriately and followed the guidelines. I went to staff, set up appointments to fix the issues but I went unrecognized. I asked for things to get fixed and I am still waiting. I have never moved in an apartment in such conditions as The Cascades. This is unacceptable and truly unfair to me. I feel I was mis led, taken for granted taken advantage of and I feel very very upset, disappointed, and something needs to be done. There is no way this type of neglect can go unknown and or unrecognized. My apartment was just thrown together. This is not right. My rent is not inexpensive to be living in these conditions. this is not right. How can someone rent an apartment knowing the conditions are as horrific as these.. I spoke with Ms. [redacted] this eventing (December 16th) and informed her that I was writing a complaint regarding the horrific conditions in my apartment. She asked what is it that I wanted. I told her I would like to be reimbursed, I would like to move and I also mentioned I was very concerned about my safety regarding the countertops being flammable, the rust etc.. Ms. [redacted] then informed me that the person who manages The Cascades Apartments was out of town and she will get back with me at her earliest convenience. I did not sign up for this.. Customer service was awesome but behind my back, I was the joke of the day. Gotcha, is more like it! How can someone go home and sleep well knowing the living conditions at The Cascades (Hmmmmmm). Today, December 22 I walked in the office to speak with [redacted] regarding fax that was sent to The Cascades Apartment on December 19th from Cannery Place Apartments. I signed a release form from Cannery Place Apartments giving them permission to get my rental information. I asked [redacted] did she get the fax. She said yes. I asked her why has she not faxed it back and she told me that she was waiting on the Manager to get back with her because she is unable to give out any information regarding my rental history. She told me that I needed to have notice meaning a 30 day notice. I wrote a 30 day notice on the 16th and the 19th. She has yet to fax the information and I signed the form. She also inspected my apartment today and as I was showing her the closet that was thrown together, she asked me was this like this when I moved in (how insulting). When she was finished, she said that she wanted to get this taken care as soon as tomorrow. I told her I was not going to be available and she became a bit aggressive and said to me again, I want to take care of this tomorrow. I then told her, I have been waiting for your to fix this place for a month, and now that you are ready, you want me to put my life on hold plus I am moving before the month is out, Its too late now. I told her I would call her when I was available. Before I was finished speaking, she interrupted me and said in a snobby way, ok [redacted], let me know when you are available. She went to the door, opened it and walked out. All this has been happening since I submitted a letter and photos of my apartment to the corporate office. I also have yet to hear for the corporate office and it has been since December 16th. The maintenance man has also stopped communicating with me and gave me a funny look the other dayDesired Settlement: I Moved in on November 17 2014. I have not been able to put any of my dishes up. I have been neglected and mistreated. I am asking for a full refund which adds up to 1,288.00.
