Ruth Cate and her team have served as trusted advisors for my family for more years than I can even remember now. You hear so many negative things about lawyers (especially in Spartanburg) but she's the exact opposite. She's very up front about your prospects, she tells you what you can expect, she prepares you for everything and is honest to a fault. I saw someone else note that she's an attorney for Grown Ups and I think that's a great way to put it. If you've got an ax to grind with your ex and are looking for a lawyer to use the legal system to make their lives miserable, find another attorney (Ruth probably wouldn't even take your case). If however, you're looking to protect your family and do it in a way that is best for your children, you won't find a better advocate. If you look around, you'll see glowing review after glowing review. Spartanburg is a small town and she's been practicing here for years - you don't get the reputation she has without really being a tremendous advocate for your clients. Ruth and her team have my family's eternal gratitude .
