I am responding to your letter dated December 17, involving a complaint that a patient was charged a late fee after requesting that any future appointments be cancelled We have a waiting list and are currently booking patients several months out Anytime that we have a cancellation we immediately fill the empty spot Perhaps one cancellation could get by but not several as indicated in the complaint Also, each time that the patient cancelled an appointment, with the exception of the last, he rescheduled The patient missed an appointment on 12/3/for which he was not charged He then made his appointment on 2/4/ He missed the appointment on 3/6/for which there was a $charge He came to the next appointment on 4/8/ The last appointment was on 5/6/for which there was a $charge There was also an unpaid insurance amount of $along with a collection cost of $which totals the $ All patients are notified of the late/no show policy when they become patients and are reminded at each missed appointmentBased on these facts we feel that the charges are valid.Please feel free to contact me at any time for any additional information that you may require.Sincerely, [redacted] Office Manager

I requested prior to the 3/appt that all future appts be cancelledI called multiple times to have this doneI didn't attend an appt In April which is what I told every single person that I spoke withI refuse the pay anything past March

This has been the absolute worse doctors office I have dealt with. You do not care about your patients it's all about money. I stopped going to your office because the doctor and the staff did not make me feel welcome. The current office that I am with had been amazing and I have not had one billing issue. This is absolutely ridiculous. I will pay for my missed appointment in March but nothing else.

we immediately fill the empty spot.  Perhaps one cancellation could get by but not several as indicated in the complaint.  Also, each time that the patient cancelled an appointment, with the exception of the last, he rescheduled.  The patient missed an appointment on 12/3/13 for which he was not charged.  He then made his appointment on 2/4/14.  He missed the appointment on 3/6/14 for which there was a $50 charge.  He came to the next appointment on 4/8/14.  The last appointment was on 5/6/14 for which there was a $50 charge.  There was also an unpaid insurance amount of $19.90 along with a collection cost of $51.41 which totals the $171.39.  All patients are notified of the late/no show policy when they become patients and are reminded at each missed appointment. Based on these facts we feel that the charges are valid.Please feel free to contact me at any time for any additional information that you may require.Sincerely,[redacted]Office Manager

Mr. [redacted] did, in fact, attend an appointment on April 8, 2014. He had an appointmentscheduled for 5/6/14 and he confirmed the appointment with our confirmation systemMedVoice on 5/3/2014 but failed to attend. All patient interactions, including phone calls, arelogged on the patient chart. The only non-medical entry is from March the 13th 2014 statingthat Mr. [redacted] could only schedule appointments on Tuesdays. These are legitimate chargesfor which he was notified three times over a 90 day period prior to the initiation of any formalcollection process.Sincerely,[redacted], Office ManagerThe Center for Emotional Care

Review: The Staff of this business are extremely rude and hateful. I tried to make a complaint to the person in charge and he said it was not the staff. They do as he says. Therefore, I would like them to drop the charges for today and I will take my business elsewhere. I have never been so mistreated on the phone and in person as I was there. This caused me to have a panic attack out in there parking lot for over and hour.Desired Settlement: I believe that this office could use a refresher course on being nice to the people that come into their place of business so as not to upset others. I believe the person that I complained to needs to make an effort to be more pleasant when speaking with people and maybe go back to school to remember what he is there for (or get a new personality).

Review: I missed an apt and was charged a fee for missing an apt which I understand. At that time I contacted the office and told them I was no longer their patient and wanted to cancel any and all further appts. The office did not comply with my request and continued to charge me for missed appts. Every time I received a bill in the mail for another missed apt I contacted them back and told them I have already requested to cancel anything with them. They have not be able to accept my request.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to zero out my $171.39 balance that has already been turned over to a collection agency.
