My name is ***. I went to The Changing Room Hair Salons to change my hair color to a lighter one on Thursday December 12 at 9:00AM. The result was catastrophic, my hair was burned at the point of baldness. The hair stylist couldn't even brush my hair because it was falling into pieces. She left me more than 1 hour and half with the bleaching product on, destroying every fiber of hair that I had. She became really nervous when she tried to brush it and put a hair mask on saying that it was complementary on her. After charging me for the unfinished work (I requested a refund), she sent me home with the hair mask on. When I got into the car and managed to see what was going on with my hair, I realized that she couldn't brush it because it was completely burned. The pieces of hair fell on my lap as I touched it and by just removing the hair elastic that I had on.

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) I want the hair salon to pay for the damages made to my hair. I had to go to a PROFESSIONAL hair salon to save what it was left of my hair since my graduation is on Tuesday December 17th. They had to chopped my hair and the part left was dead but shaving my head was not a feasible solution. The PROFESSIONAL hair salon charged me $1,330.00, for hydration, cut and the fake hair they have to put me on to be able to go to graduation and christmas without hair.

Unfortunately, today was the first time our company was notified about this complaints due to incorrect previous contact information. As we stated on the phone we provided all the necessary information to the state in regards to Ms. Andrea ***'s complaint. We have attempted several times to rectify the situation however MS. denied the immediate offer to fix her hair, she requested the compensation payment of $1330 which we agreed to pay in exchange for a signed released of liability initially she agreed. However then changed her mind and now is demanding even more compensation. The State has closed the case because we have done all that could by attempting several times to satisfy her demands. We have attached all the documents sent to Travis from the state department along with all of our proof of conversations with Ms. Zambana AND the letter closing the case from the State to us. Thank you should you need anything else please do not hesitate to contact us at ***@Bellsouth.net

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Yes, Mr *** called me over the phone to let me know that he had come around and would be willing to pay the $1,300.00 (Request that I did on December in the process of solving the issue). To my surprise his offering came with an email that contained a four page Release Form and the request of modifying or erase my review in Google about his business.

My reply to Mr *** was that I would agree to sign the release form if he cover all the emergency expenses I made in order to fix all the damaged that they did to my hair. (Which I believe it was fair since I'm not asking for full compensation through the next year or two that it will take to recover my hair)

I found disrespectful Mr *** response since it amazes me that in order for him to be responsible, I had to be completely bald. Not having hair and losing dramatically amount of hair during all this time, it's serious enough for me. Regarding that he did not charge me the day of the incident, I want to make clear that they did charge me and I returned with my hair in my hand and said that I wanted a refund. His offer of unlimited service was decline because I do not wish unqualified personnel to handle my already damaged hair. I went to Mr *** salon to get highlights not a complete transformation. I arrived at 8:00am, planning to be there only half day and being able to come back to the office to work which never happened. I'm a manager and work with partners, customer service and other affiliates, my hair is part of my appearance and the way I look is important due to my constant interaction with people. The company did not pay me for the days I missed for being busy trying to fix my hair and not even to mentioned my graduation.

Attached my response letter.

Dear Eneida Cardona,

This client is now taking us to court. She asked initially for $1,330 to make her happy. We agreed and offered it to her, then two days later she said she changed her mind and wants $1,934 to make her happy- this is extortion. We said we could not pay this amount... so now she is taking us to court for $8,000 plus court fees on April, X XXXX. I don't know what else to do to help satisfy her? I of course do NOT want to have a bad reputation with your company or any company. We have been in business for 39 years have been award 4 time the TOP 200 Salons in all of North America, we obviously care very much about our customers and our reputation.
