Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
The leaking is NOT coming from the flashing like Chimney Specialist are saying. The leaking is coming from the crown, so whatever you did DIDN'T work. All you wanted was to get even more money from us by doing the flashing. I have been recording videos in the middle of heavy rain to prove that you are absolutely wrong. We want our money back in full. 
Chimney Specialist you guys have horrible business practices and are rude to costumers. You don't care about fixing the problem, all you care about is collecting money. 
Again, we want refund because we will need to call another company here to fix what you were supposed to do in first place.

We would like the opportunity to respond to some of the issues you expressed and provide some background in regards to your chimney...

leak.When you called to schedule an appointment with our estimator for chimney repair, we came out and provide a detailed estimate for repair. When our estimator arrived, he found the chimney was tarped off as the leak had been persisting for some time. As discussed and stated on the quote that was accepted and scheduled; we first wanted to address the issues of immediate concern and were verifiable attributing factors to the leak (i.e. wire brush moss off the chimney, resurface the top concrete crown, weatherize and install (3) stainless steel chimney caps). It was noted on the estimate and discussed that after the repairs had been completed, if the leak was still persisting, we would quote to replace your chimney flashing, as that would be all that would be left. We did not want to quote work, unless we were absolutely certain it was necessary.The first appointment was rescheduled due to inclement weather. We only apply our professional weatherizing materials in ideal conditions; dry, non-freezing weather. This was on January 6th, 2016. We do state on our estimates that we do collect at time of service.In good faith we waited for payment. When we did not hear anything from you for two weeks we called and were told a check would be in the mail the following day. We were not aware of a problem until we received a call stating that there was still a leak. We sent our technicians out to your home that same day to address the issue for you. After investigating the work we had completed to verify that no portion of our repair was failing we then viewed where the water was coming in. We did confirm what was stated as a possibility in your estimate; your chimney flashing was in need of replacement. We made every attempt to be as transparent as we could from the beginning that the leak may be entering through your counter flashing as well.We were then provided a credit card for payment and told that you wanted to schedule the quoted flashing repair. The card provided was declined; again, in good faith we waited a few days, as you asked, and tried to process again. The card did not go through the second time, and we were told at that time that a check would be in the mail.After still not receiving payment, or hearing from you, we followed up to check on the status of payment as it had now been almost a month from the original repair date (2/4/16). It was at this time that we were told that you were unsatisfied with the work. After discussing the repair in depth and trying to reach a compromise professionally by either removing the caps and moving on without collecting any amount from you, or moving forward and addressing the flashing issue. You expressed your opinion of us and stated that you wanted to pay in full for the work completed.We wish you the best with your future chimney repairs moving forward.
