Review: I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with this so-called renovated hotel. I made a reservation for [redacted] for my family. We checked in yesterday and were horrified from the minute we pulled into the parking garage. The parking garage was dark and dingy and smelled of urine. The halls leading from the self park were musty. Every corridor had a different unpleasant odor. The hotel is just plain dirty. There were crumbs down the entire hallway leading to our room. We were assigned room [redacted], which is purported to be a renovated room. Nothing in the room was new or replaced. The room was filthy and smelled of mildew and stale smoke. There were hairs on the credenza and also on the bathroom counter. The shower had mold all over the tile and the drain did not work. The vent near the window had inches and inches of dust. The box springs were not covered with linens but they were covered with stains. Every inch of this place is dirty and in disrepair. Every wall had scuffs including inside the elevators. The place is a total dump. It is false advertising to call anything in this building renovated. There was no way we could spend the night in this establishment as it was so depressing and disgusting. We checked out last night and went back home. The Claridge ruined our mini holiday getaway.Desired Settlement: Refund of entire amount charged to the credit card.

Review: I arrived at the Claridge arriving 7 / 3 / 15 for 2 nights upon check in I was given the wrong room number and key I walked into an already occupied room where the guests were having g a private moment, I apologized and returned to the front desk immediately. I was given replacement keys a d sent to a different room. No apology was made. I was not satisfied with the WiFi connection, the look/cleanliness of the bathroom, the television channel lineup, the lack of movie rental options, outlet on the night stand not working, and nit enough towels. All of these issues were told to the front desk. After my stay I went on [redacted] and gave a negative review about my stay at the Claridge and contacted the General Manager via email, he promptly responded telling me that I shold not have gone online and completed a negative review. He told me his staff told him, they upgraded my room, and refunded one night's charge which was a lie. He then said he would refund the one night's charged and offered me a free night's stay in his best room to make up for my negative experience. Then after reading my review online he emailed me back and said my review caused him to change his mind, and he would not be refunding anything to me . It is my right to give a review on my stay on any website and should not be penalized for doing so.The person's name I was communicating with is [redacted], email address is, [redacted]. His email to me was unacceptable. He called my review, unfair, cruel, and that it was the worst he'd seen in his 24 years of experience.Desired Settlement: I want my money refunded for my entire stay, or at least half.

Review: Main reason of complaint is due for misleading the public (Myself)with false advertisement, Hotel web site advertised "The Claridge Experience" Vacation Package for $700.00 for 4-nights/5-days stay in deluxe accommodations at their hotel: Use of Claridge Car Service for 2 round trips to any of my Atlantic City Destinations; Tickets for 2 adults to our cabaret-style showroom now featuring the [redacted], 100 stars; 1 complementary drink per person at the Lobby Bar or showroom Lounge; Discount booklet for [redacted], value at $1,050 for stores located only a block and half away; The package rate of $700.00nplus taxes plus fees is based in double occupancy Valid Thursday-Sundays through August 28th 2014. When called to make a reservation, the operator ([redacted]) as well as the Supervisor ([redacted])stated that the dates had changed to be valid up until August 10th/14 (for me to use), and also that the tickets for the show had changed because they had changed their schedule (the performers); in other words they had only excuses for me not to be able to get a reservation. [redacted] first said they had new packages that came up The supervisor said that they did not have any package offer because they were working in putting it together. I had requested a reservation for 08/21/2014 to 08/24/2014. As you can see there is no intension from the hotel to validate what they advertised. In fact the supervisor said that immediately after I finish talking to her they would remove the advertisement mentioned. I do not want to think that because I have an accent I was denied the used of their hotel, In either case I still think it is false advertisement and is misleading the public.Desired Settlement: I need an acknowledgement of their misrepresentation as well as to be given the opportunity to have the use of their hotel at a very comparable rate package or better.
