We have spoken to the cleaners who cleaned the customer's house on 3/27/18. They have stated the owners were in the house while they were cleaning. They were getting ready for family to come in for a big party at the customers' house, and we were told the family was staying in the house before the party. The wife was sitting outside on the patio, and the cleaners said the husband was sitting in his office from where he said the money was stolen. He was in there the whole time they were cleaning his office. They have written statements regarding this accusation saying they did not take the money and are willing to take a polygraph test. We asked the customer to file a police report which he did. The police have not yet contacted the cleaners for questioning.
The money was discovered stolen on 3/31/18 by the customer, 4 days after the clean. We found out that the family was staying at the home prior to the 3/31/18 party and dinner. The dinner was scheduled from 4:30 to 9:00PM. So he discovered the money at 8PM on 3/31/18 while he had family over for their dinner party.
There is no proof that the cleaners took this money.
While customer satisfaction is our #1 priority, we do not think we are responsible for this customer's loss.
