[redacted] gave us an order to produce placemats as stated in the complaint [redacted] never gave us ANY specifications with respect to tolerances for the shapes requestedWe cut approximately 10,placemats per week for other customers (big box retailers) on the same equipment in various shapesThe shape [redacted] requested exceeded the tolerance of the equipment currently in useThe prior order [redacted] refers to was cut on another machine we no longer operate of ownAt The CLI Group's expense we brought in the new equipment's manufacturer, including their President and engineers to assess the needs for [redacted] and corrected the machine's tolerances to accommodate [redacted] When we reshipped a first strike off approval placemat to ***, it was still rejected by themAt the request of The CLI Group, we recommended her shape (it was a very tight corner cut [redacted] was objecting to) be changed to the more widely accepted corner cuts of other retailersIt should be noted that even though we worked without ANY specifications fro the onset of the order, The CLI Group PAID for the freight to return the entire first order from Oregon to New Jersey; paid for our internal re-inspection; paid for corrections to tolerances from the machine manufacturer; and paid for ALL new raw materials to REMAKE the ENTIRE orderWe also had to change one raw material since the one originally selected by [redacted] was discontinuedThat exacerbated the delay in getting them remade productIn addition to the aforementioned expenditures of production resources , we spent 10-hours of design and inspection time at $125/hour for managerial assistanceAll we asked for in the end was for [redacted] to pay the freight back for the remade orderHad [redacted] given us written specifications from the beginning as to their requested tolerances, which were out of commercial tolerances, all the extra work and money spent by The CLI Group would have been avoided and [redacted] would have their product

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
To clarify his claim: Approximately 85% of this order is produced in the wedge shape. The production approval sample for this shape was approved. The rectangle placemat is the shape that was not approved and I have never given them a sample for this shape because I told them, even on the first order placed with them, to use their pattern for that. I was not aware we were producing anything different until this problem arose As for the fact that I did not give them a tolerance, again, I gave them a sample and that was all that was required for the first production and the placemats were all produced in the exact shape I sent. It does not matter that it is different equipment, if they were able to fix the machine to produce a consistently shaped product then the production was defective or they would not have taken it back. I would also like to point out that when I was at CLI in May they showed me a sample of the production in the rectangle and round shape only. I commented that the corners on the rectangle did not look very nice and they assured me that was just a strike off and it had been corrected for production. It had not Lastly, they waited as long as they possibly could to reply to this complaint because they know I would really like to get this product so they wanted to inconvenience me as much as possibleVery unprofessional on their part I am willing to compromise. They owe me $1,for the amount they are short shipping in product. They may pull the $for freight from the amount they owe me and refund the balance of $to my credit card. I do not want a store credit. They also need to reply to this by the end of this week so as to not delay things any further

I am rejecting this response because:? They are refusing to deduct the freight charges from the credit they owe me and refund the balance.? They were given another option outside of this Revdex.com complaint:? I placed an order for the pieces the new order was short and agreed to pay the shipping to receive the orderSo I have agreed to what they have asked but now they are saying the material is not available that I chose.? I have now given them a whole list of materials to choose from assuming one of them must be available.Per Paul's (from CLI) email on 10/26/17"We will also credit any placemat shortages against future business."Again, I have agreed to what they asked.? I have agreed to pay the freight and I placed a new order to use the credit I have due to me.? I do want them to all ship together to avoid multiple freight charges so I asked that they be produced by the end of the year? When we called to discuss this with them today, they told us to "just pay the freight,? I am done", and hung up on us.? This would indicate to me that they have no intentions of fulfilling their obligation of producing more placemats to use the credit due us.? Thank you

I am rejecting this response because:  They are refusing to deduct the freight charges from the credit they owe me and refund the balance.  They were given another option outside of this Revdex.com complaint:  I placed an order for the 352 pieces the new order was short and agreed to pay the shipping to receive the order. So I have agreed to what they have asked but now they are saying the material is not available that I chose.  I have now given them a whole list of materials to choose from assuming one of them must be available.Per Paul's (from CLI) email on 10/26/17"We will also credit any placemat shortages against future business."Again, I have agreed to what they asked.  I have agreed to pay the freight and I placed a new order to use the credit I have due to me.  I do want them to all ship together to avoid multiple freight charges so I asked that they be produced by the end of the year.  When we called to discuss this with them today, they told us to "just pay the freight,  I am done", and hung up on us.  This would indicate to me that they have no intentions of fulfilling their obligation of producing more placemats to use the credit due us. Thank you.
