The Clock Shop has been
in business for over yearsWe take pride in our customer satisfaction
and do are best to do a quality jobThe problem with Revdex.com is they
assume the customer is always right
The Clock Shop was asked
to come to Mr*** home and make repairs to a Grandfather
Clock that was not running. We took the clock back to are shop made
the necessary repairs and took the clock back to Mr*** home. The
clock was repaired and ran & struck perfectly as
requested. Several week later Mr*** called to say he did not like
some shavings that were coming out from his clockNot sure what this was
but it had nothing to do with weather the clock ran or notAlso this was
not what we were hired to doWe were hired to repair the clock so it would run
and strike properly which we did. First let me point out that Mr***
lives over miles round trip from our store and we made two trips
to his home. Even though the clock ran fine Mr*** was not happyTo
save our time and further frustration with Mr*** we decided to refund
his money less a trip charge and sales taxTotal charge was $including
$in taxesWe spent over four hours working on his clock plus an
additional hours driving to & from his home
To try and say there was
a bushing or something lying in the bottom of his clock and to
somehow suggest we did not do a quality job, is absurd, and a
bit deceptiveIf anything was lying in the bottom of the clock than
it was always thereRemember
the clock runs fine. Over the years we have had
several unreasonable customers, it is inevitableThe best we can do is
try to do the best job possibleIn the end we repaired Mr*** clock
and refunded his moneyWhat else can we do. If he is not happy
about the sales tax he can always go to the state for another
refund. This is more than any other repair shop of any kind would have
done. As Stated, The customer is not always right

The clock shop did refund $400.00 to me but that is not the point.  The clock ran fine before The Clock Shop took the clock to repair the center wind-up shaft the would not engage.  When The Clock Shop returned the clock it did work and I could wind the middle wind-up shaft.  Not several weeks but just a week after the clock was returned the center shaft again was not engaging to wind the center weight and I could see where the repair that the Clock Shop had soldered a small bushing on the internals where the center shaft entered the frame of the clock.  This bushing came unsoldered and fell to the bottom of the clock housing.  The Bushing is still there and if the person who responded to your notice would care to I will be happy to show this bushing to him but he would have to make that 80 mile trip and I doubt he could care less.
Rest assure they will not get a recommendation from me any time soon.
