This company obtained my phone number, and has been making unsolicited calls to my business. They call every day, sometimes upwards of 5 times per hour. I am unable to block the call, because they use an unknown, or no caller id, phone number. I have asked every representative to remove me from their calling list, but they will not. It is very disruptive to my business to be continuously receiving phone calls, and it may be impeding us from receiving legitimate business calls. We plan to contact our attorney if this persists.Desired SettlementThis company needs to honor the request to remove phone numbers from their call list, and to stop making unsolicited calls to customers who are not interested in their products.Business Response We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you and your organization with the calls that you have received from the telemarketing team in the recent past and for the inconvenience and troubles you have faced.Complainant's feedback will go a long way towards improving our services and meet the very high standards which our customers expect and should continue to demand. We would like to assure you that this is not our typical level of service and we fully understand your disappointment and once again do apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. A very stringent process is used to ensure that undesired calling does not occur, and that any requests to cease calls are fulfilled immediately upon receiving. On receiving this complaint (through Revdex.com) we were able to identify the miss on our side, the phone number has been suppressed and marked as Do Not Solicit in our database. We have also addressed the training need of our teams who reach out to physician offices and hospitals for our medical coding and billing productsConsumer Response I am happy with the company's response to this issue.Final Consumer Response

Unsolicited work and personal emails despite request to stop.I registered with this company to obtain some coding information over a year ago. Since then, I have been flooded with emails to my work ([redacted]) and as of today by personal email ([redacted]). I have selected unsubscribe from the former to no avail. I have called the company and asked that they stop to no avail. I suspect this will likely continue now that they have my personal email. I receive several calls per day from a rotating phone number that I suspect may be connected based on other reviews. This company is unrelenting in its advertising despite repeated requests to stop. Desired SettlementI want to be removed from all call and email lists from this company and removed from any marketing or other information this company may be sharing with other companies.Business Response We (The Coding Institute), was able to identify the misses on our systems which led to multiple emails being sent to complainant's email addresses. Both the email addresses have been removed from our databases. We have also addressed the training need of our marketing teams who reach out to physician offices, hospitals and universities for the medical coding related tools, books and services offered by us. Email has also been sent to complainant acknowledging the misses from our side and assured to remove the email addresses and phone number for marketing lists. We apologize for the inconvenience and assure this is not our typical level of service.

Cold Call sales -- Our office is continually contacted by the Coding Institute in an attempt to sell us coding books. The coding Institute continues to contact us wanting to sell us coding books. these call tie up our phone lines needed for pt. I have asked them on several occasions to stop calling. Last week I asked again and told them, if they called I would file a complaint. Today [redacted] from the Coding Institute called again!Desired SettlementStop Calling!Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] ([redacted]) [redacted]Contact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted]We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you and your organization with the calls that you have received from the telemarketing team in the recent past and for the inconvenience and troubles you have faced.Complainant's feedback will go a long way towards improving our services and meet the very high standards which our customers expect and should continue to demand. We would like to assure you that this is not our typical level of service and we fully understand your disappointment and once again do apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. We would be glad to speak with you on your advice on anything that we may have missed in our process.

I have received hundreds of email from this company and have tried to remove my name by the link, emails, and phone calls. They refuse to do so.I started getting unsolicited emails from them years ago and have tried to get off their list by clicking the unsubscribe link over 30 times, sending emails to the company over 10 times, and calling them on 5 occasions. One time I received an email response telling me they would remove my name but it never happened. The last two occasions I sent them reply emails stating I would file this complaint if they did not respond. They did not and here we are. I do not know whether this is a violation of any federal or state regulation or not but it is certainly unprofessional. I expect spammers to do this but not someone holding themselves out to be a legitimate company. I cannot be the only one they treat this way.Desired SettlementI want them to stop sending me unsolicited emails.Business Response We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you with the emails that you have received from the us in the recent past and for the inconvenience and troubles you have faced.Complainant's feedback will go a long way towards improving our services and meet the very high standards which our customers expect and should continue to demand.I would like to assure you that this is not our typical level of service and I fully understand your disappointment and once again do apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. A very stringent process is used to ensure that undesired emailing does not occur, and that any requests to cease emails or solicitation are fulfilled immediately upon receiving. On receiving this complaint we were able to identify the miss on our side, the email address has been suppressed and marked as Do Not Solicit in our database. I have also addressed the training need of our marketing teams who reach out to health care practices regarding products and services. We have emailed the complainant separately too confirming the necessary actions taken from our side.Thank you for your co operation.Consumer Response I did receive both telephone and email communications from a gentleman at the company. I do not doubt that he sincerely attempted to address the problem but I received at least 3 additional emails in the week after he felt the problem had been solved. I forwarded copies of the ones I kept to him and I am sure he will do his best to figure out why the problem continues. I ask that you not close the complaint until there is actual resolution. I am confident the company would agree with my request and would want to make sure they have successfully resolved all outstanding issues.Final Consumer Response The company has been very responsive and I consider this issue resolved. Thanks to both the Revdex.com for making this avenue available and to The Coding Institute for taking it seriously and resolving it with diligence and courtesy.

Our human resource director has received two invoices from this company for services/goods that she has not asked or applied for. When I contacted contacted the customer service for [redacted], I spoke with a gentleman who couldn't give me any correspondence to support these invoices. After viewing the website to see if this was human resource related, it wasn't. The gentleman than said that he would cancel the order that she didn't make. I am reporting this to the Revdex.com because I feel other universities, businesses, etc. are possibly billed for services/goods that they did not receive from this "research" company and I believe that it is a scam.Account_Number: [redacted]Desired SettlementI want the Revdex.com to be aware of this companies tactics and also make this company aware that their fraudulant actions are exposed.Business Response Orders were placed on August 5th and December 23rd 2014 for the conferences hosted through [redacted] and entity of [redacted] now The Coding Institute. The invoices were generated as requested by [redacted] as the organization can pay only once the PO is raised for the conferences and the DVD. The call recordings have already been sent to [redacted]. The orders were not fulfilled as all our products and services are pre paid and are shipped only after the payment has been received by us. The orders have been cancelled as of December 19th , 2014 and January 15th 2015.

I continue to receive emails despite my repeated requests to be removed from their contact list. I called the 800 number listed below and after complaining was transferred to "[redacted]" who said he was the Assistant Marketing Manager. I asked to be connected to their business office in the US. "[redacted]" tried to deflect me and refused to provide me with that phone number, stating that he was the only one who could help me and that the only people at their business office in Durham, NC were the editors. I asked repeatedly to speak or have the contact information for [redacted] and was also refused. "[redacted]" went on to say that [redacted] has 702 employees where he was and there really wasn't anyone in the US, stating "The whole company is run out of here, there is no one in the US." He also admitted that I was contacting either "[redacted] Research" or "[redacted] Journals" as he used both company names when I was talking to him.At the end, he provided me a phone number for [redacted] XXX-XXX-XXXX. In any case, this company's behavior certainly warrants some attention on the regulatory end. At a minimum, I am writing to complain about their behavior and hope that you contact them to cease their spamming activities.Desired SettlementThat they cease to send SPAMBusiness Response The Coding Institute would like to reassure you of our continued and consistent attention to being highly sensitive to "opt-out" requests. A very stringent process is used to ensure that undesired emailing does not occur, and that any requests to cease emails are fulfilled immediately upon receiving. Regretfully, we were unable to trace a record of any request from the complainant to be removed from our emailing lists (prior to receiving his phone call). We would like to assume this was a slip between the cracks on our part and take corrective measures. On receiving this complaint (through Revdex.com) we were able to identify two email addresses for the complainant in our database, both have been suppressed and added to our list of "never email" addresses. This customer/prospect will not be emailed again. When the complainant called our 800 number, the aforementioned staff ([redacted]) understood the reason for his ire and requested for the complainant's email address so that we could cease any further marketing emails. This request was unfortunately denied by the complainant during the phone interaction (we were able to gather this information only from this complaint forwarded by Revdex.com).We regret the inefficiency displayed by [redacted] in the early stages of the conversation, in not being forthcoming enough to provide an alternate US contact as requested by the complainant. He did eventually provide the requested information before ending the call. Corrective Actions: 1. Our staff (including [redacted]) have been coached to handle any dissatisfied or irate consumer more effectively so that a comprehensive resolution is delivered, as well as to make the phone interaction a positive experience for the caller. 2. We have revisited our email marketing process to address any possible loopholes. We are confident that requests for "unsubscribing", "opt out" or "cease emails" are not being missed. We anticipate and hope that a conversation with the complainant may throw some more light on anything we may have missed in our process. Attempts (so far unsuccessful) are being made to contact the complainant via phone to render another formal apology.
