Review: I won a A $500 [redacted] Gift Card in the [redacted]. The email confirming this even stated that I won a $500 [redacted] Gift Card, not gift cardS. I received my prize in the mail, and instead of receiving A gift card, I received FIVE $100 gift cards. I tried purchasing a tablet off of the [redacted] website, and I am only able make a purchase with one gift card. What I wanted is worth about $500, so I can only use $100 towards it. I called Customer Service and even spoke to a manager, they said there was nothing they could do. I then tried going to an [redacted] store, but there are no devices you can purchase unless you sign a contract where you would have to pay a monthly fee, or you would have to have existing service and pay an activation fee every month. And it is not just that particular store. I called three other stores, including [redacted] Corporate, and they told me the same thing. I told the people who issued me this card the situation and kindly asked them to send me one [redacted] gift card, just like the sweepstakes said I would win, and just like the confirmation email stated, and they told me that they could not issue $500 on one card, failing to even give me a good reason why. I see this as a scam to try and get me to sign up with [redacted]. They know that the only way I can get a device with the $500 is if I go into a store, where I would have to spend money every month just to have it, and on the website I can not use more than one gift card per purchase, which is the only way I can get a device where I do not need to do that. They make you pay an extra $100 for the product, but you are not obligated to have a monthly service, where as in the stores you do. And I cannot purchase an [redacted] device from anywhere else like [redacted] or [redacted], as the terms and conditions state that you can only use the cards in an [redacted] store or the [redacted] website. [redacted] always has a deal where if you get their services, they give you a phone/tablet for free anyway. Again, I see this as a scam and I won nothing.Desired Settlement: I want these five $100 gift cards reissued as one $500 gift card, just like my confirmation email states that I would receive. I still have the email if you would like to see it.
