Mr. [redacted], As far as your letter to the Revdex.com, when you purchased your fountain you were told that with the 7 ½ foot ring you could leave your fountain outside which is true. Since you have a liner in the ring of your fountain you do not have to worry about the water freezing and cracking your ring. As far as the rest of your fountain you have a hole in the middle of each piece of your fountain that is considered the drain hole, you placed your tubing in the middle of the holes and then you put putty around it to secure a seal so that your fountain bowls were not leaking when you ran your fountain. I personally spoke to you about your concerns with the fountain and at first you were worried about the tubing not being tight enough and then you were worried about draining the fountain in the winter. Obviously you can’t have a secure fit in the summer and then a loose one in the winter so every year your fountain will need some work done to it. You can remove the putty from around the tubing and your fountain should drain fine seeing as how you will probably need to replace the putty anyway that doesn’t seem like a problem. Fountains are just like anything that you sit outside in the spring they will need some work done to them. When you set up a pool in the spring you have to get it ready and when you winterize it you also have to get it ready a fountain is no different than anything you put in your yard as far as maintenance. As far as the gentleman who told you, you could cover your fountain he was not an employee of The Concrete Lady he was also a customer purchasing concrete statuary just as you were. As soon as he advised you to cover it I then told you that it would act like a greenhouse in the winter and freeze and night and thaw during the day. As I also told you that day even with draining the bowls and leaving your fountain out all winter, it still rains it still snows and snow is going to sit in those bowls unless you go and shovel every bit out. When snow melts it is water, sitting water in your concrete fountain bowls is what you are trying to avoid, so while it is seemly impossible for you to not have water, snow, etc. in your fountain while it is outside I suggested that you take the top portions of your fountain inside in the winter. I obviously can’t come to your house and put a magic tarp up so that no snow or water gets into your fountain in the winter time so it almost seems common sense that you would expect to have some sort of these elements in your fountain at all times. So while here at The Concrete Lady I gave you multiple solutions on how to winterize your fountain. You can stop by anytime in the winter months and we have our fountains outside, uncovered, and typically full of snow, it is a risk you take if you are not willing to move your fountain somewhere not covered from the elements. We also originally have this fountain set up without a ring and we tell our customers once you start adding pieces I can not tell you how your fountain will run or look once it is in your yard. We have tried helping you on multiple occasions proving to you each time there are things you can do to winterize your fountain and leave it outside, therefore proving that your statement to the Revdex.com is false and fountains can be left outside all winter long. Thank you, Sam

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

This was not how it was explained to us before buying the fountain. After purchasing the fountain and installing it,  I went back for clarification. They backpedaled and gave me the same response as was sent in the response to the Revdex.com. Their response is contradictory. The first part of the letter says you have to take the fountain apart then in the second (at your own risk as they now tell me) you can leave it outside.  When we purchased the fountain the only words were "you can leave it outside uncovered, as recommended as long a you clean out the drain holes.  At this point I don't wish to persue it any longer. From their letter I've determined it's a lost cause to ask them to change what they advertise to the customer.  I now believe "BEWARE the customer".
