The Consignment Warehouse Reviews (7)

Review: The business has 10 pieces of my furniture, valued at $4,000, on consignment. They were to issue me a check on 09/15/15 for sale of pieces. I did not receive the check. Their website and phone number are no longer in service. They do not respond to my emails.Desired Settlement: Payment for items sold

Review: The Consignment Warehouse received 10 pieces of furniture from us on March 21, 2013 (many large and expensive pieces - such as a Henredon Armories). After many unanswered calls in April to the main office (to a lady named Wendy, who I spoke with in the beginning before pick-up), I finally went in to the Newbury Park store and spoke with a gentleman who said the 2 large Armories and the desk had sold quickly and to expect a check soon. In May, after MANY calls again to the main office (no answer or return calls) I again went into the Newbury Park store to complain (no check) and also found out that all pieces had sold except the tall chest and 2 lamps. He said he would send a note to Wendy. MANY more calls were again made, and after an idle warning about pursuing legal help, Wendy called and said a check would be cut only for the 2 Armories, that the desk was on a lay-away (which I had not heard of before) and also that it was too soon to cut a check for the other items that sold. She then said her computer was down after I had asked her for the exact dates of when each piece of furniture had sold. Again, no check by the end of May and first week in June, or response even with the continued warnings of legal action. Recently, June 18,2013, I again made a call with no response. Wednesday, June 19, 2013, I went into the Newbury Park store. The gentleman said - all pieces had been sold except the tall chest - he could not see on his computer the dates when the pieces had sold, but said the computer did say that a check was to be cut on 5-1-13 (no check)! When calling either the Newbury Park store or the Oxnard store, the recording says you can also get answers on their Web site. The Web site has not worked from day one, saying 'New Site Coming Soon'!! To bad I didn't see the reviews before I sent our nice furniture there! Please help us, most of the items are from my parents estate, which we (my brother, sister and I) are trying to settle.Desired Settlement: We want each piece of furniture listed (see below), the date it sold, the 'original' price it listed for, the 50/50 split cost from the 'original' pricing (NOT from any reduced pricing) and, due to withholding money from the estate, a check sent to me immediately for our half of the 'original' listed price on all pieces!! 1 Henredon Armories,1 Henredon oval night-stand,1 French Armories,1 White dresser,1 White headboard,1 White night-stand,1 White tall chest,1 Teak desk,2 White lamps.

The Consignment Warehouse in Newbury Park & also their location in Oxnard - Apparently they are not paying the people that consign their furniture with them!! I delivered a set of nice media chairs to the Oxnard location and was told they would sell for approx. $700 and that I would be mailed a check for $350. It's been well over a month and two phone calls, THEN I went on YELP.com and found MANY people in the same boat. Some have been swindled out of THOUSANDS of dollars!!!

Do NOT consign OR shop there!! Spread the word on Facebook to save friend's & relatives from going there to sell furniture!

Review: I brought my table, extension leaves and six chairs to the Consignment Store for them to sell. I was contacted in August stating the items had sold and I would receive a check the beginning of September. It is now mid-October and I still have not received a check. I have repeatedly called and emailed them with no response. We even drove my the store and it was closed and accordingly to the golf shop next door seems to have been closed for awhile.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a check for my items they sold.

Review: On August 26th I placed 13 items of various furniture items on consignment with The Consignment Warehouse in Newbury Park, CA. I have made multiple attempts via email, phone calls (number appears to be disconnected) and in person visits to the store which now appears to be closed due to "Personal Reasons". I do not know if any of my items have been sold as I have no update nor have I received any payment. I want my unsold items back or payment rendered for any sold items. I will take litigious action next.Desired Settlement: I want my unsold items back or payment rendered for any sold items.

Review: We have 3 pieces of furniture at the Consignment Warehouse. We could not reach them for several weeks, and then they finally notified us that our coffee table had sold. Since then, multiple emails from both my husband and me have gone unreturned. Today, the number for both this store and the one in Oxnard (as printed on the consignment agreement) have a message that says to check the number. The website says temporarily unavailable. It appears that they have taken our remaining merchandise as well as our part of the profit from the table and closed up shop without notice.Desired Settlement: We would like payment for the table and the return of our other two items if they have not been sold. If they have, we would like the money for those sales.

Review: The business sHas a sign on door that they will be closed for one week due to personal reasons. They owe us for items that they sold and we were to receive payment on Sept 15. They also have had other items of ours that were delivered on June 24th. We have been trying to contact them for over 4 weeks to arrange to pick up the consigned items they still have in their possession, but have received no response in the time frame. The problem exists that after 90 days they take full possession of the items left behind, but we cannot reach anyone and they have remained closed for now onto four weeks. We would of course like to be paid for what they sold, and also to pick up the remaining items that are in their possession.Desired Settlement: Payment on item sold, which we still don't know what price they sold it for. We assume we have between $750.00 and $1500.00 due us.We would like to arrange to pick up a table and 6 chairs, a pedestal, 4 bar stools, wicker back chair, and a framed picture.
