MrE [redacted] failed to mention in his complaint, that prior to coming to our business, he had a "mechanic", build a mounting plate and installed it on the ramp motor In his words, "this was done only inches from the door" When he came to our store it was apparent that the motor was bad and, and at his request, we special ordered a motor from a Braun dealer We replaced the motor on 4-27- The Braun dealer that we ordered the motor from, tells us that the warranty is for days This is common for most electrical parts He did come back to our store approx to weeks, with a problem with the ramp Upon checking it out, we found a broken bolt on the ramp (nowhere near the motor) we replaced the bolt at NO CHARGE, and he was on his way He then claims that on or "around" 8-15-he had a problem, but went to the Braun dealer, and they found the problem with the door A***, from Mobility Works called A [redacted] and told us that the motor had a broken shaft, and he indicated that motors typically had a 9iday warranty MrE [redacted] called A [redacted] a few days later asking and in an irate voice, if he was going to repair his motor It is my understanding that A [redacted] (from Mobility Works) had already told MrE [redacted] that the motor only had a 9iday warrantyA [redacted] confirmed this information A [redacted] explained the situation to MrE [redacted] , who slammed the phone down The warranty expired on July 27- Still not sure why MrE [redacted] did not go to his Braun dealer from the beginning We hate fthat MrE [redacted] has had these problems, however, our hands are tied, as per the manufacturers policy, If we can help in any other way, please let us knowOne more point, A [redacted] did clean a lot of debris from both doors, hoping that would take care of his door problems, but obviously he has other issues with the door, as confirmed by Mobility Works

As mentioned earlier, MrE*** brought his van into our shop with a bad ramp motor. He authorized us to order and install the motor. He stated that he had intermittent problems afterwards and he later had the "fiberoptic safety strip" on the door replaced at another shop. The ramp and door function on these vans work together in sequence. If one part malfunctions, it affects the whole operation. He did find later that the motor replaced had a broken shaft. Unfortunately, by that time, the warranty had expired on the motor(Mfgsets the warranty)During the phone conversation with A**, MrE*** hung up on him, terminating the call.If MrE*** wants to order another motor (from another source), we will install that motor at no charge. We apologize for the inconvience, but the warranty issue is out of our hands.Regards,T** C***Free Spirit Mobility

A*** E*** I want the replacement motor costs reimbursed to me by Free Spirit MobilityThe motor installed by Free Spirit is a Braun Mfg.partI have spoken with Braunability and was informed that Free Spirit did not purchase the motor from them and that they are not an authorizes Braun distributor.They also said that if installed properly this item should not fail in this short time in service and if contacted by an authorized didtributer they would have discussed the failure to consider options.Thank you for all your effortsA*** E***

and, and at his request, we special ordered a motor from a Braun dealer.  We replaced the motor on 4-27-17.   The Braun dealer that we ordered the motor from, tells us that the warranty is for 90 days.  This is common for most electrical parts.  He did come back to our store approx 1 to 2 weeks, with a problem with the ramp.  Upon checking it out, we found a broken bolt on the ramp (nowhere near the motor) we replaced the bolt at NO CHARGE, and he was on his way.  He then claims that on or "around" 8-15-17 he had a problem, but went to the Braun dealer, and they found the problem with the door.  A[redacted], from   Mobility  Works called A** and told us that the motor had a broken shaft, and he indicated that motors typically had a 9i0 day warranty.  Mr. E[redacted] called A** a few days later asking  and in an irate voice, if he was going to repair his motor.  It is my understanding that A[redacted] (from Mobility Works) had already told Mr. E[redacted] that the motor only had a 9i0 day warranty....... A** confirmed this information.  A** explained the situation to Mr. E[redacted] , who slammed  the phone down.  The warranty expired on July 27-17.  Still not sure why Mr. E[redacted] did not go to his Braun dealer from the beginning.  We hate fthat Mr. E[redacted] has had these problems, however, our hands are tied, as per the manufacturers policy,  If we can help in any other way, please let us know.
