** ***I offered you a receipt at the end of the job ,you said no need and took a picture of your check with your phone NYS requires we collect sales tax on our work as a service, as is posted on our invoices and my business cards *** called for an estimate , I went to the address and meet
with the tenant, who showed me which limbs were to be removed over the pool and power lines, gave him the estimate for the limbs to be removed, and was very specific as to which limbs were to be removed so there was no misunderstanding *** *** called back and asked me to lower my estimate, as he felt it was to highThe estimate was for dollars, plus dollars for sales taxI said no and suggested he call around for other estimatesApproximately a month later *** *** called back and wanted to hire me to trim the tree limbs He called several times wanting to be put ahead of the other customersI explained other people are in front of him and I could not do his job immediately and that the limbs were over power lines so it must be a dry calm dayI later called *** *** to stop out and trim the limbsI asked if the neighbors were okay with me being on their property He said yesI then asked if the gentleman I spoke would be there He said yesI asked *** *** if he'd be thereHe said later because he had a funeralI went to the job site myself ,along with my two sons and nephew I spoke to the gentlemen I had originally spoken with and went over again what we were trimming off , we agreed I trimmed off the limbs we agreed upon No one was injured, no property damage, and no problems When I got out of the tree and put our gear away and then called *** ***, who said he would be there in minutesHe arrived and asked about removing other branches while I was there I said I removed what was agreed upon ,if I remove more it will cost more ,he declined *** *** paid his bill of $plus $sales tax. *** *** , we have two very different versions of how everything happened after I finished the job I was hired to doI stand by my response I never asked for or received a deposit for doing the workWe were never hired to clean up or remove the branches we trimmed off, as you chose to do the clean up work yourself to save moneyYour name calling , bullying, wanting extra work done for nothing and wanting a discount was not part of the agreement

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.
I want to thank you for your prompt response to this matter.
I wish to clarify a few things from the Business response. First and foremost we wouldn't be here if after 28 years of being in the Business Mr. Greg S knew how to treat and talk to his customers. His first response to me when I tried to address the misunderstanding was " your gonna start aren't you?! Here we go, here we go!I was shocked by his response, so much so I told him I was sorry he was burned out from dealing with people but I had nothing to do with what's going on with him. He was just so confrontational and as can be corroborated by my tenant was seemingly bothered with this task and was seeking a quick money grab and didn't wish to be held up any longer from this job to settle a minor miscommunication that he escalated to this point. I was insulted and embarrassed and felt cheated out of my hard earned money, which he seemed to show no appreciation for. There are many inconsistencies with Mr. Greg S response, There was never any written estimates given to me or my Tenant, only a quote over the phone to cut 2 limbs over the fence line. The attachment I sent includes pictures with branches still crossed over the fence line onto my property, including a limb I thought was going to be cut, and attempted to address with Greg. I did call Mr. Greg S to hire him but was given excuse after excuse and was given dates he said he would do the work but never showed or called. I was patient until I asked him on August4th If he wanted the job or not. That's when he told me he would stop by the next day in the afternoon ( August 5th) to do the job. Which regrettably, is the day Greg came over and did a haphazard branch cutting job. He never called me after the work, just demanded cash or check from my Tenant. That's when my Tenant called me to come over because he was already done and wanted to be paid. There was never an opportunity to discuss which tree limbs were going to be cut. I was expecting Greg to come over in the afternoon on the 5th which was the time he said he would stop by, I was at a funeral in the morning so I couldn't get there before he started the work, and as indicated in Tenant's statement enclosed, he went right to cutting branches in a hurried manner and just wanted to rip money and move on to the next money stop.
The other inaccurate statement made by * is that he declined to come to my residence for an estimate. Total Lie!!! I told him after dealing with his poor attitude and unprofessional manner that I didn't want him to go over to my residence. I wanted nothing more to do with this person. I'm a very busy person and to stop and have to deal with this issue is cumbersome and inconvenient, but Mr. Greg S was so insulting and disrespectful which again brings us here.
