The Country Bride & Gent

I purchased my beautiful wedding gown from the Country Bride and Gent in March of ‘2019 with the help of the wonderful, caring sales representative, Krystyna, all went downhill from there. I paid $999 plus tax for the gown and an additional $500 for alterations. When I went to pick-up my wedding gown after traveling well over an hour, the gown was nowhere near perfect—the gown felt too big in the front bodice, the cups I paid them to sew in were sewn in crooked, and I later discovered there were issues with the way the hem was done when I had to bring the gown to another vendor. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with the amount I paid and the services provided I was met with hostility, blame, and such a condescending tone I’m still in shock and incredibly devastated. They in fact requested an additional $40.00 from me to finish/adjust the dress to my “level” of satisfaction, so after much going back and fourth over a minuscule $40, I decided to take my gown out of the store that day. I am a person of principals, the woman behind the counter tried to make it seem like a money issue and insulted me, I had money I was just not willing to give this vendor an additional cent after the horrible customer service experience, waste of my time, level of stress/anxiety, and decent money already spent with vendor. The business lacks an air of professionalism..the women whom work in the shop walk around talking about clients inappropriately, the carpets appear dirty and as though they are not often vacuumed, and the customer service representative who was handling my complaint was wearing shorts and white tennis shoes in a bridal shop. It is my personal opinion that this particular woman (blonde hair, petite, appears over 50) should not be allowed to handle the role of customer complaints/issues, as she was not equipped/trained to professionally handle the situation. I have never received such awful customer service in my life, especially not a business I’m entrusting with such an important day.

My daughter bought her prom dress here fir $360 Only to have her straps break shortly after she arrived at her Sr prom. They tried to hold it together with Bobby pins. Needless to say it was not an enjoyable event n they only offered to fix the straps making all sorts of weird excuses why they could not refund some of the money spent
