[redacted] as a guest who checked out and left expensive damage due to smoking in the room. Indiana is a no smoke state. ALL guest are explained this upon check in and initial the registration card that states a [redacted] fee for smoking in guest...
rooms. This room had to be put out of order for 4 days to clean walls & carpets. Therefore his deposit (as explained to him numerous times) was not returned. There is a [redacted] balance remaining on this room. It is very easy for guest to be upset and slander a motel when they do not receive a deposit back. Rules are in place to follow state guidelines and for the safety to all current and future guest.
