well This bride and groom panicked and were not willing to trust that we would complete all requirements in time for their August wedding. We certainly will be in compliance way before that time, but because they are obviously upset and are doing everything in their power to discredit us, we have decided to give them a full refund in the amount of $1,063.50. The check has been sent to them today, and we wish them a very happy future. I expect that this will satisfy the consumer as well as the Revdex.com regarding this issue

This consumer advised us on May 29, 2014 that wanted to book his wedding for July 11, 2015 at our venue. At the time of purchase, contracts were not formed, however [redacted] was verbally told that in order for us to hold a date, we would need a non-refundable deposit of $2,000. He immediately agreed, and charged that amount on a visa credit card. Subsequently, his purchase was entered into our system and he was sent a formal invoice stating our non-refundable policy. Two months later, [redacted] received false information regarding Country Loft with reference to our ability to hold a wedding on our premises, and decided to cancel our agreement. We advised [redacted] that we had a non-refundable policy, as stated on his invoice. To help him out, we tried to work out something agreeable with the deposit. We advised him that if we had another couple that booked that date, we would return his deposit; or, he could keep the credit here and use it at another time for merchandise and/or a small party (birthday celebration, anniversary, etc.) or, as [redacted] owns a small tree business, he could cut down a tree for us, and the money would go towards that end. After a few conversations, [redacted] agreed to cutting down our tree. My assistant, [redacted], personally spoke with [redacted] on the weekend of August 23rd BEFORE he filed this complaint with Revdex.com and told him we had two weddings here, one on September 13th, the other on September 29th, and then we were open until the next wedding, which is on October 12th. He said "okay," he'd get back to us with a date. Yesterday, [redacted] emailed [redacted] and suggested September 25th or 26th and as of this date we have not heard from him. We have been nothing but transparent with [redacted] and as soon as he decides which date works best for him, I assume this matter will b resolved. Very truly yours, [redacted]

Review: The Country Loft advertises hosted events on the property, such as weddings and party gatherings. After my fianc and I signed a contract to have our wedding there, we discovered through the town hall that the property is being foreclosed, they are not permitted to hold events of any kind, the "venue" does not meet the codes for fire, sanitation, or building to legally hold events. In order to make the updates necessary to meet the codes, they need to obtain a building permit, which as of today, 8 months later, they still do not have. We have requested a full refund of our deposit with no success. The owner claims that she cannot refund our deposit because we signed a "binding contract", despite the fact that the contract says "If the Country Loft is unable to uphold their end of the contractual agreement, a full refund will be provided." The "venue" could not legally host our event when we signed the contract, and 10 months later, they still cannot legally host it.Desired Settlement: We would like a full refund of our deposit - $1063.50.

Please be advised that many of the accusations stated by this consumer are incorrect.
