The job at the [redacted] residence was completed to our high standardsThe real issue was when the client hired a painter who also claimed he could do woodworking and trimThe leak that I repaired was similar to others that I successfully completed in that same high rise condo building on the oceanI completed the repairThe customer allowed the painter to smash and remove my repair with a hammer so that he could replace the wood trimThose actions void the warrantyThe customer added an addendum to the warranty that was also void due to the actions of the painterThe client was offered many times to rectify the situation even though it was NOT our fault but she chose not tooThe matter is closed as far as we are concernedSincerely [redacted] The Crack Team
The customer in question was not able to produce the warrantyHe hired another company and then found proof of payment that we had performed the original workHe then wanted his original payment backOur warranty states that if the cracks that we repaired leak, we fix them free of chargeThis also happened when ST Louis was receiving record rainfall and we we inundated with workWe honored our warranty but it wasn't enough for that particular customers timetable

ocean. I completed the repair. The customer allowed the painter to smash and remove my repair with a hammer so that he could replace the wood trim. Those actions void the warranty. The customer added an addendum to the warranty that was also void due to the actions of the painter. The client was offered many times to rectify the situation even though it was NOT our fault but she chose not too. The matter is closed as far as we are concerned. Sincerely[redacted]The Crack Team
My response is as follows:I reiterate and reconfirm all of the information in my Complaint #[redacted] against Mr. [redacted] and The Crack Team. I dispute all of his allegations.Mr. [redacted] states he has worked in 6 units in the building. I have not been able to validate more than two units. Mr. [redacted] knows that he authorized, allowed and assisted my contractor in shaving excess waterproofing materials he left exposed to make a smoother finish for the completion of the work to be done by the contractor and the carpet company. Mr. [redacted] stated to me and a witness that the shaving of the excess waterproofing material would not void the Warranty. Mr. [redacted] knows that he signed an Addendum to his Invoice to me dated December 13, 2015. The Addendum dated December 17, 2015 stated: "any and all epoxy that is interfering with the installation of the carpet may be removed without interfering or invalidating the warranty..." Mr. [redacted] received a copy of the executed Addendum at that time. Mr. [redacted] knows that I spoke to him by telephone on February 6, 2016 to notify him that I had additional water intrusion in my unit on February 5, 2016. His work was not completed nor was it to high standards. Mr. [redacted] knows that on March 17, 2016 when he came to my residence to view the additional water intrusion he became very agitated, spun around and went into a rage in front of me and a witness, screamed at me and the witness then ran out of my home and slammed my door with great force. Mr. [redacted] knows that later that same day he left me a voice mail message stating: "I just want to make it perfectly clear even though you had the carpenter smash my work I told you I would honor the Warranty. The Warranty states I will fix my work". His message validated that the Warranty had not been voided. Mr. [redacted] must understand that after his outburst to me and a witness and the force at which he slammed my door, I am now fearful of him and his volatile temper and will not allow him back into my home to do the corrective work.I now must bear the cost of correcting his inadequate work and the loss of the 10-year Warranty.
