I cancelled my reservation for September 5, 2020 on July 18, 2020 in accordance with the Crossing Resort policy as stated in booking confirmation letter dated 7/31/2019.
The Crossing resort denied my requested refund, citing "unprecedented circumstances".
Despite two phone calls and four emails I have not received my confirmation of cancellation or a refund to my credit card.
Can you provide assistance with the return of my deposit?
We appreciate Mr ***s patience through this very trying time. Its unfortunate that it resulted in a complaint to Revdex.com. As stated in our first email The Crossing Resort is a seasonal business and typically closed October to April and was 2 months late in opening the resort (4Th June) as a result of Covid-19 and with no sales we were unable to process any refunds at that time. We simply needed time to generate the cash flow to put us in a position to address refund requests.The season has progressed and although still in sad shape for sales we have found ourselves in a position of being able to start processing some refunds. In light of our inability to process refunds until now, we were offering date changes, or a gift certificate plus a resort credit.
In the 45 years that our family has owned and operated The Crossing Resort there has "never" been a debt that we did not pay.
Mr ***s refund is being processed today and we hope that with this explanation he may have a better understanding and allow us to host him in the future and show extend some of the hospitality we are known for. He may personally contact me if he wishes. *** .
