Review: My mother [redacted] and myself went to the Crossings at Falls Run in early August. At that time the sales staff present a one bedroom apartment for 2,995.00 per month for a year.My mother put down a deposit of $1,500 and made an appointment with the sale representativeLauren G[redacted] to sign my mothers lease on 8/19/15. My mother and her care giver from Visiting Angels went to Ms. G[redacted]'s office at 2pm. The lease that they gave my 79 year old mother to sign was at $3,600 a month not $'2,995 as orally agreed to the week before when she put down her deposit. The lease did have an addendum that gave my mother at Financial Concession that reduced the rent to 2,995.00 for 4 months not 12. The addendum states that the rent can increase in January 16. My mother questioned this and was still lead to believe that the rent increase would be based on the Special Rent amount. I had not received a copy of this lease until today. The staff person has put the incorrect start date as 8/19/15 not the correct date of 8/31/15. We were not allowed to put any of my mothers possessions in the apartment until 8/31/15. The Crossings contacted me as her power of attorney today and email a revised lease with the with the date changed to 8/31/15. That is when I saw the lease was for a different rent amount the had been presented to my mother and myself. I am lodging this complaint because the sales representative mislead both my elderly mother and myself.I requested that they change the lease to what was orally agreed to when she put her deposit down. The business office representative and Ms. Goeringer said that they could not change the lease and that there Director was on vacation. I had Ms. Goeringer send my concerns to Crossings corporate office. This is FALSE ADVERTISING AND ELDER ABUSE.Desired Settlement: I want and have requested the Crossings at Falls Run to revise the lease to what was orally presented and agreed to. Which is a 12 month lease at $2,995.00 with a possible rent increase at a listed percentage not a blank amount. The Crossing only gave my mother a 4-5 special rent when that is not what the sale representative orally presented when we were both present.
