I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I am rejecting this message because it is blatantly incorrect. To start, I handed the waitress the cash and card INITIALLY, and told her to split the tenderShe said it was no problem, took my cash and credit card to ring up the transactionShe then returned with no cash, ONLY my card and a receipt for the transaction stating she charged my card 26.60I then went up to the counter to inform her I was overcharged.I was never handed my cash back that I paid for the transactionShe informed me that the charge on my card would be refunded BY THE END OF THE DAY, which she stated explicitlyShe then asked another waitress for help to refund the transactionI waited and did not see that the transaction was posted backI called and spoke to a different waitress who said it would take until the end of the business day.So I waited another hoursno funds posted back.So I called the business to speak to the owner, who began to get angry with me for inquiring where my money wasAt this point my dollar brunch had turned into a dollar brunch, as the waitress asked me to tip her as I was signing my adjusted receiptHe assured me that it takes about a week to get my money back and that I needed to wait and I would get itHe began to get agitated with me for asking where my money was, and began to raise his voiceI told him I wasn't even angry at this point, I just wanted to make sure that I don't get double charged for an orderWhen I called again, the following day as it had been days with no posted funds, the owner began to scream at meHe also hung up the phone on me.I went to the restaurant to speak to him as he clearly did not want to talk on the phone, and as soon as I arrived he called the sheriff. This is deplorableThe actions of this owner are disgusting and completely uncalled forTo scream at a customer, refuse a refund, hang up, and call the police on a patron who was NOT unruly nor causing a scene or a threat in any way is ridiculous.I no longer am concerned about the money, although it is very clear that his "best" waitress obviously pocketed my dollar bill, however I want this owners practices to be brought to lightIt is absolutely intolerable for an owner of a business to scream at, ignore, and call the police on a customer. My sister also called this establish to speak to the owner for me and he told her to "*** off", and I believe he deserves consequences for his actions and the way he treats his customers.I also have logs of every interaction with him as well as all my postings on *** and his *** page that I will gladly share

On Sunday 01/10/16 [redacted] came in to the restaurant. When she went to pay the bill of $26.60, my server ran it on her credit card when she brought it back to her [redacted] has said she wanted $20 on cash + $6.60 on the credit card. My server adjusted the card how she wanted it. When the server brought...

back the receipt she told [redacted] it might take a couple of days for the bank to show it on your statement. Keep in mind the server is one of my best ones. When you make certain adjustments on credit cards I dont know why but sometimes it takes a few days to show up on the accounts. I don't receive the money. Its just the way the banks do it. [redacted] called me on Monday the 11th and told me what happened and I explained everything to her and she also said the food + server was good but she was bothered by her account. I told [redacted] just give it a few days and it will show correctly. Remember this is over $20. [redacted] called me on the 12th all wigged out that is still doesn't show. I explained again. She then said I know what happened your server took the $20 and you charged me full price on my card so I want my $20 back and my $20 from the card so you owe me $40. The conversation ended.
A couple hours later [redacted] came to the restaurant demanding her $40. I told her I tried to explain it to you but you wont listen. I had to call the sheriffs. They sent a sheriff out that had experience with these kinds of problems. I explained and showed him the receipts, +credit card reports. He said even if there was a problem she should dispute it through the credit card company. He then went out and explained to her and told her to leave. [redacted] then came back into the restaurant because her friend was waiting for her and yelled out this place sucks and looked at my two servers who didn't even wait on her and said you servers suck too. [redacted] then went on [redacted] and put a long complaint and now she's trying to go to you.
It also looks like she's changing the story to disgusting restaurant with bad service for an excuse. To get her money back.
I have a very successful restaurant, I've been in business for 14 yrs and been working in the business for almost 40 yrs. Do you really think I need to take $20 from anyone?
Thank you for the call and a chance to explain my side.

At this point my 26 dollar brunch had turned into a 60 dollar brunch, as the waitress asked me to tip her as I was signing my adjusted receipt. He assured me that it takes about a week to get my money back and that I needed to wait and I would get it. He began to get agitated with me for asking where my money was, and began to raise his voice. I told him I wasn't even angry at this point, I just wanted to make sure that I don't get double charged for an order. When I called again, the following day as it had been 4 days with no posted funds, the owner began to scream at me. He also hung up the phone on me.I went to the restaurant to speak to him as he clearly did not want to talk on the phone, and as soon as I arrived he called the sheriff. This is deplorable.
