The Daily Press carrier ran over my mailbox on 1/12/2020. I heard a noise between 6:15 and 6:30am and when I got to the window, I saw the brake lights of a vehicle stopping at several homes in my cul de sac. I called that morning at 7:02 - the rep said the carrier would have 24-48 hours to call me. I called again on 1/14/2020, the rep said she would contact the manager and the manager would call me back in 24-48 hours. Chuck (who declined to provide his last name) called on 1/16. He said my carrier was an independent contractor so I would have to work with him. Of note, it appears the same carrier hit another mailbox in my subdivision--that homeowner called the police.
Also on 1/16, Sylvester ***, the carrier called and said he would be out to fix the mailbox on Saturday, 1/18. I called him at 1:30pm that day for status--but was unable to leave a message because no phone mail box was set up. He called at 2:10 to ask if I had any tools. I told him I had a shovel. He said he would call back in 15 minutes - but I've not heard from him since. I detailed this in a letter to the Lewisville, TX address on 2/4/2020-certified, return receipt. Chuck provided his name/home address on 2/14.
