Returning ticket for recital so some parents can not come see their kids separated parents each bought tickets on line now canceledParents took child to dance class bought costume got up and went on line and bought tickets each parent bought their limit now because the owner made errors in creating the recital and reserved to small a place she has cancelled one parents tickets so okne half of the family can not attend only some parents are being refunded if you have a child on her teams you have unlimited tickets. This owner is extremely prejudiced towards students who are not on team they have been told to go sit-down while the other children are being taught they also have a horrible billing practice overfilling and not creditingDesired SettlementI want tickets restored. I want children taught I want all harassment to end Business Response I had the blessing and opportunity to open up my own studio eight years ago. I work very hard to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children and adults of all ages. I make every effort to be approachable and accessible for any concerns my customers bring forth. This is the first time I have ever had an issue with ticket sales. I make it very clear that parents can only buy eight tickets for their child's recital. This has been a rule for our recital for several years and applies to every family. This rule is sent out in emails, posted around the studio, and in our recital information binders. We use an online ticketing company which makes ticket sales go smoothly. When I did a survey last year, people loved this style of ticket buying. This is the rule that is posted and sent to all our customers:"There will be a limit of tickets purchased per show, max of 8 tickets per show, on the first day. After May 2nd, you can purchase as many tickets as you would like."Unfortunately, this customer did not follow this policy when ticket sales were opened online. As a result, I contacted her family by email, to discuss the situation and determine which seats, in excess of eight, they would like a refund for. There was no email reply nor phone call returned. The excess tickets purchased were refunded back to her. This was done because it is a rule and for our other customers. With her buying an excess of tickets, other families were not able to purchase the tickets they rightfully deserved. No child should have to look out into the audience and not see their parents. When this issue was brought to her in person, she because upset. She began to raise her voice and stomp around the lobby of our facility. There were other families and children around. I asked her several times to please calm down and lower her voice. She did the opposite of this and created a very unhealthy scene. It is my job to protect the dancers and families in my studio. I was very worried for the innocent children that were around and were watching this take place. After asking her twice to please calm down she became more upset. Luckily, an off duty police officer witnessed this incident and stepped in to help. He tried to calm her down and when this didn't work he escorted her out the front door. It was not a good environment for any child or parent to witness. I am always willing to work with people and talk about discrepancies in a calm and adult manner. My studio is a place for children, so I strive to make them always feel comfortable and safe.
