ABS tree care service did not inform / call me of crew coming to my residence for work performed and not allowing me the 24 hr canellation time frame.
Received estimate for tree to be trimmed on *** for $*** from *** ABS employee who gave me a time frame of 5 to 6 weeks before work could be performed and that I would be informed when a crew would sent out to my home also the time frame would give me time to get other estimates for that particular job, well I received a bill in the mail on *** that work had been performed on *** the invoice date. I called ABS and told them I wasn't notified that a crew was coming to preform the work and therefore could not give them a 24 hr cancellation which is stated in the contract if I choose to do so, ABS went on to say that they did call so I went on to tell them that they didn't because there is no voice mail or number logged on my cell phone for ABS, so I went on to ask them what day they called and they told me ***, so at this point I'm feeling that i'm getting nowhere with them and hung up the phone, but after hanging up the phone I checked the date that they said they called to inform me *** which was a Sunday, well the business /ABS is closed on Sundays. ABS invoice # ***.
Because they are being so dishonest about this whole situation and even when I asked to speak with the owner and they wouldn't let me speak to him I feel that I shouldn't owe ABS many money, I was even willing to pay ABS for my lowest estimate that I received.
(owner) was out of the office on the Friday when *** called, that is why I was unable to speak to him then. I apologized for the poor communication on the scheduling. We attempted to call him on the ***, which was a Friday, not Sunday the ***. Regardless, apparently the call and voice mail never got through to ***. We offered to reduce his bill by $*** for his trouble. *** said that would be fine. He agreed to pay $*** of the $*** invoice and remove his complaint. I apologized again and thanked him for working through this with us.
