We apologize for mailing to someone that is not in your organization. We purchase lists to mail to from different magazines and sometimes the names are not correct.

Additionally, the order form is called an order form not an invoice as required by the postal code. Also, we include the statement “THIS NOT A BILL. THIS IS A SOLICITAION. YOU ARE UNDER NO OBLIGATIOLNTO PAY UNLESS YOU ACEPT THIS OFFER”. This is also required by the postal code, and we are diligent to include this in all of our mailings.

Review: Dear Ms./Sir.

We had received from a company we work with the attached.

It's a scan of an invoice from a company called A.W. Day International [redacted].

The invoice is built as a respond to a PO issued by the company but the company never issued A.W. any p.o. and the PO number written is not fitted with company's PO numbering.

The website of the company seems fishy as there is no telephone number to connect them.

Calling them (via the number in the second page) get you to an outsourcing office.

Emailing them provided an answer that this is not an due to PO invoice.

The idea is, as I been told, that if the guy that received this want the service he has a PO to pay for it ready.

My feeling is that the company has not real work and this is a scam to get company to pay the invoice without noticing no service had been provided.

The person the invoice was aimed to is the previous CEO of the company and he surly did not order any report from that company.

Please advice if my suspicion are correct.

Sincerely,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: See Above

Review: We received a VERY DECEPTIVE solicitation that cam in an appearance of an invoice. I knew that this was fraudulent because the solicitation was addressed to MS [redacted], Chief Exceutive, [redacted]. We do not have an executive by that name with our bank. Also, the wording regarding it not being a bill is not in very big font and does not stand out on the bill. I had to look it over a few times to find it. Also, if this company is in Connecticut, why is the mailing address in London?? This is a VERY DECEPTIVE practice, and everyone should be aware.Desired Settlement: I would request a response from The Day Group, as to why they mailed a solicitation to a [redacted] when there is no such person at our bank. This seems like a phishing sceam in hopes that we had someone here by that name, and that we might think we owed this money.

Review: My School District received an emailed invoice for a subscription to some IT research report under my name and President. School districts don't have presidents and I am not sure how they obtained my name. On the invoice it has an order number, and amount of 4998. It does say in a small box that this is a solicitation in small print. I am appalled that they would have my name and send this to a school district as an invoice. I have never heard of them. Do not have anything to do with IT and why would the address on the invoice have London, UK? This is obviously a BLATANT SCAM and they should be stopped from sending out bogus invoices/emails.Desired Settlement: I would like them to explain how this is good business practice and where they obtain their information for sending out these bogus invoice/emails. If they are a legitimate company than they wouldn't have to stoop to such low levels for advertisement. They should be reported to the government for fraud.
