January 6, Dear [redacted] ***: This letter is in our second response to ID [redacted] ), a consumer complaint directed to Matthew B [redacted] '/The Decorating Center regarding a Modern Drapery [redacted] window blind purchased by [redacted] ***We did receive the response from you that includes the rejection from [redacted] ***, I have once again had a discussion with [redacted] on this matter and [redacted] has confirmed they cannot be fixed as the fabric is sewn into the hooks that have been broken [redacted] has also provided the letter/email that confirmed they ( [redacted] ) voided the warranty on June 30, due to moisture damage in the [redacted] home(see attached letter from [redacted] )The Decorating Center does understand that this customer wants a useable and attractive window treatment in their home, however this style of window treatment is no longer available and [redacted] cannot provide a repair for the broken hingeThe Decorating Center is willing to work with this customer to replace the Modern Drapery blinds with another window treatment for the value of the purchased price of the Modern Drapery purchased October 11, This offer does not include installation cost and the customer will be responsible for any cost that is beyond the original cost of the Modern Drapery along with the installation costWe feel this is reasonable and quite fair as [redacted] maintains they cannot replace or fix the current window treatment.The Decorating Center is willing to have any further dialogue regarding this customer and his window blindsPlease feel free to contact me at ###-###-#### or email me at [redacted] .net.Kind RegardsChristine R.Director of Retail Sales

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] We are not rejecting this response but are waiting for the final resolve: We have received the second letter sent to the Revdex.com from The Decorating Center in response to complaint ID [redacted] We were relieved and encouraged that everyone agrees that our Modern Draperies cannot be fixed and that The Decorating Center is willing to work with usWe reluctantly accepted that [redacted] would not cover our draperies due to the original staining issue but we do not recall any correspondence that stated the warranty was totally voided and do not feel in any way it should have beenHowever we were willing to move onBelieve us when we say we dreaded having to call when we found our draperies hanging down from broken clips Once again we are thankful that The Decorating Center is working with us and are anxious to put this all to restWe will gladly let the Revdex.com and its forum know how this all turns out Regards, [redacted] ***

December 15, Dear [redacted] : This letter is in response to (ID [redacted] ), a consumer complaint directed to Matthew B [redacted] /The Decorating Center regarding a Modern Drapery [redacted] window blind purchased by [redacted] ***[redacted] did purchase a window blind from The Decorating Center in This window blind was under typical warranty offered by [redacted] until the blinds sustained damage (stained) in the home which voided the warranty according to [redacted] policy which was communicated to this customer, which we have no authority to invalidate[redacted] contacted The Decorating Center about the broken tabs; the result was our installer Matthew B [redacted] , did visit the home and repaired these blinds on two occasionsMatthew was unable to do a permanent repair due to this window treatment being discontinued and Matthew was unable to secure the proper hardware from [redacted] We had several discussions on this issue with [redacted] and they will not honor the warranty due to the initial damage done in the home which voided the warranty [redacted] is aware of this voided warranty which I did not see noted in the written statement [redacted] makes the final determination on their warranty; The Decorating Center cannot repair these blinds without the proper hardware which [redacted] has not been able to provide us to repair this broken tabThe Decorating Center has done all we to repair these blindsThis complaint should be discussed with [redacted] as they are the manufacturer and we depend on them to provide the necessary parts.Decorating Center with the cooperation of [redacted] has offered [redacted] a 75% discount to purchase a new and current window treatmentWe are willing to fix the current window treatment if [redacted] would provide the correct hardware which to this date they have not responded to this requestThe Decorating Center is willing to have any further dialogue regarding this customer and his window blindsPlease feel free to contact me at ###-###-#### or email me at [redacted] @tdc.netKind Regards, Christine RDirector of Retail Sales
