Review: We recently had a new home constructed. The gas lamp placed outside of our front door was purchased from the Decorator Shoppe Center. The gas lamp will not stay lit. I called the store to let them know that the lamp continues to blow out, even though the contractor had come by to light it on at least three different occasions. The Manager of the store came to the house on a Wednesday. He asked my husband for something to stand on to put some type of "sleeve" on the lamp. My husband told him that he did not have anything for him to stand on. He also inquired about the Manager's decision not to bring him own latter to stand on. My husband was fearful that if the Manager had fallen, we would have been legally responsible for his injuries. He left and said he would return within a week and a half which was 12 days away. I called him to follow up. During my telephone conversation with him, he identified himself to me as the Manager of the store. He went on to tell me in an extremely rude and angry tone that he was frustrated with my husband because he did not give him something to stand on to fix the gas lamp. I asked him if that was the reason that he was delaying a return to our house. He said "yes" and hung up on me. That was one month ago. I called the store this past Monday, August 5th. The Manager answered the telephone and I identified myself, he hung up on me. I promptly called back and the tape came on. I continued to call back and a female finally answered the telephone. I explained to her what happened. She told me his name was [redacted] ( I think). She never acknowledged that he was indeed the Manager of the store. I told her that I was calling for two reasons: 1) the gas lamp that we purchased from her store would not stay lit and 2) the color of the blades on the ceiling fan that we also purchased from her store were the wrong color and a previous attempt to change the blades was not successful. She referred me to the contractor or the manufacturer.Desired Settlement: I want a refund if the store will not fix my gas lamp or change the color of the ceiling fan blades as I requested.
