mistake by one of our employees. The enclosed claim form document signed by [redacted] was submitted for a request of $ 50 which we did provide as stated above. When we damage an article of clothing (which is very rare), we are purchasing the garment from the customer and giving them the value they requested. This allows for them to purchase another one to replace the damaged one. In the event that the customer wishes to keep the blouse, we do offer them 50% of what they requested AND give them the article of clothing that was damaged. Del Rey Cleaners has been doing business since 1996 and always will own up to any mistakes by the owner or their employees. In this case, I believe there was a break in the communication barrier somewhere. We did write the check and will still honor the $ 50 if [redacted] so chooses.
