Customer was seen for an appointment, at check out a copay of $100 was collected (this was per the copay information listed on the Eligibility Details – copy attached).  Customer was given copy of the eligibility print out that showed “general individual visit” listed as a $100 copay. ...

After the customer left the office received a call from [redacted] stating that, the copay amount was incorrect and should be credited back to the patient.  At this point a refund was processed but we later found out that it did not process correctly.  Once the customer contacted the office directly on Thursday, November 2nd, the issue was fully investigated and determined that the credit did not process correctly a check was issued to the customer along with the remaining balance of $134.34 being written off.  The check was sent to the customer via overnight mail and delivered on November 3rd.  This was an unfortunate misunderstanding that once brought to the offices attention was researched and resolved within one business day.   [redacted]-Practice ManagerThe Dermatology Institute of Boston, PCPhysicians Caring For Your Skin[redacted] [redacted] [redacted]
