No matter how many times I told the salesman that I was "just looking" and was just trying to gauge what I was looking for in an engagement ring, I hassled and pressured the entire time I was there to make a purchase that day. Once I made this clear to one salesman, a second man came in and continued to push me into making my purchase that second. It was an awful first time experience. The worst was when I was told we were just going to "check and see how much I would be approved for on a loan". I figured why not, I'm trying to do my homework and even though I was approved for well over my price range I felt that was a good thing to know for when I am looking at rings in the future. Later that week I looked at my Wells Fargo accounts an noticed a loan that I recently received coincidentally for the exact same amount I was told I was approved for. I called TDC up that minute and was assured that that was nothing and "that would be a horrible way to do business, we would never do that". This man even had the nerve to then ask me where I was in my purchase and if I was going to make my purchase with them. Then the next week, a letter came from Wells Fargo with a card and account number for my loan with TDC. At this point I am livid and cannot believe I was lied to TWICE. I immediately had the loan/account closed. What a horrible business. Their employees clearly care more about making a sale than establishing a connection with the customer.
