Review: National Communication Xchange manages a data center in [redacted], PA. The data center holds numerous racks of servers for various companies. Recently, there was a service outage of over 24 hours. At approximately 4pm EST on August 30th, another service outage occurred. Numerous calls to their "support" yielded no response and a visit to the data center confirmed no one was working on the problem. It has been nearly 72 hours with no confirmation of anyone working to correct the issue. I host between 40-50 websites on my server alone, including several profitable e-commerce sites and research projects. My customers are contacting me and all I can do is wait to see if this unresponsive company is working on the problem. In my 10 years of experience in the web hosting business I have never experienced such negligence in a service company that is supposed to provide 24/7 support to it's customers.As a result, my customers are losing thousands of dollars and universities like [redacted] are waiting to continue their research. Additionally, to regain my customers trust and assure this type of incident does not happen again, I am forced to spend 100's of man-hours to migrate these custom web applications.I have been in the industry for over 10 years and manage over 100 websites as the Senior Web Developer for the School of Media and Coomunication at [redacted] University and President of two companies. This is by far the worst business practice I've experienced from a web service provider.Desired Settlement: I'd like this company to reimburse me for the cost of moving the sites on my server co-located at their facility to a reputable and reliable host provider which could cost upward of $5,000 (for the migration only).
